Our monthly Bike Trossachs Passion Project PàircRide was AMAZING at the weekend 🤗 Nearly 90 folk in the dreich Sunday morning drizzle split between our 10km & 20km way-marked routes with 30 sprogs at Bairns on Bikes split between Bairns on Bikes on Pump Tracks & adventure pedals.

So so good to see so many families come along. Rains grand if it’s warm eh 😜 And the busiest pump track in central Scotland is the gift that keeps on giving! Mega props to Mark Ducat 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 on coaching and inspo duties along side Avril & her adventure pedal escapades with the younger sprogs.

More of the same on the last Sunday of the month 🤗 Think ParkRun but for bikes using our fab permanent Gravelfoyle way-marked routes. Free to attend and sign-up open via bio.

What a weekend! Our first Gravelfoyle Grrrls overnighter spent at the beautiful Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Loch Chon campsite.
Eleven x 12-16 year old girls who were smashing at climbing and descending the trails between Aberfoyle and Loch Chon.
What a capable bunch!

We got a swim in the loch after a decent pedal to our site and enjoyed our Summit2eat dinner in the last of the sunshine. Even the midgies were behaving.

Thanks to Venture Scotland for the loan of two beautiful Bell tents and Kat for shifting them (and the rest!) for us.

It was amazing cycling back into the village where everyone was buzzing on the new pumptrack after a gathering and the girls dropped into the track nae bother.

Here's to more weekends like this with such braw lassies. Thank you to the for supporting and for making this possible.

*An important update on the Gravelfoyle Weekender*

We’re incredibly sorry to announce that the Gravelfoyle Weekender will not take place this September.

The honest reason is that we haven’t received enough entries to make the event viable. Running an independent event is incredibly difficult right now, especially one as logistically challenging as this. Significant costs must be committed long before the start line, and challenges around venue availability, rising overheads and the demands of the enduro format have added to that pressure.

We know many riders now enter events later, but as a small, non-profit organisation, we cannot carry the financial risk or compromise on the standard of event we want to deliver.

Although the Weekender won’t happen this September, our work continues. We’re focusing our energy on some amazing new community facilities and projects in the Trossachs, alongside established and increasingly popular Grand Old Dukes next May.

Registered riders should check their inbox for information about refunds and priority rollover options. Thank you for your support and we are sorry.

To our volunteers, sponsors, riders and supporters: thank you for believing in what we’re building. Please continue to support local, independent events. They need it more than ever.

What a weekend in Aberfoyle!!! And what an insane turnout for the opening of our pump track this weekend!

We are buzzing (in between laps 🤪) and just beyond chuffed to pieces with our brand new Bikescape pump track & absolutely loving all the good vibes & happy folk 🤩

Huge thank you to everyone who came along 🤗

It was pure class having pump track champ Mark Ducat 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in town for the day helping run some kids sessions & showing off his back flips 😳 Incredible afternoon!

We couldn’t have done this without a mountain of people who have helped in so many capacities, from funding to digging to believing in us enough to get behind us.

Big weekend ahead for us in Aberfoyle… our new pump track is finally opening!

We are buzzing! You’re all invited to come with free coaching for sprogs on offer too from 3x UK pump track champ Mark Ducat 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🤩. Meet at Aberfoyle Bike Co | Hire • Café • Repairs by our main carpark at 12.50 to walk the 5 mins to the pump track.

Join us on Sunday too for our monthly PàircRide - free to attend and a fantastic morning out riding our way-marked trails. We also have our Aberfoyle Gala on Sunday so plenty to do in and around the village.

A month on from Grand Old Dukes & we’re finally getting back on the socials!

It’s been a hiatus for good reason though as we are opening a BRAND NEW pump track in Aberfoyle next month! Not quite there yet but the finish line is in sight so we’ve been focusing our energies on this - a labour of love & the type of project our events help make happen 🤗

Our free community event PàircRide is also back tomorrow morning if you & yours are at a loose end. It’s fantastic! Think Parkrun but for bikes & following our fab 10km or 20km way marked loops.

It’s now time for us to get our heads into our next event in September - The Gravelfoyle Weekender. It’s circa 70km, super social except perhaps when you reach a stage & the clock goes! 5 stages of 2km-4km, lowest cumulative time is your finish time 🙂

After the INCREDS feedback from Grand Old Dukes (😘😘) we are buzzing for this!

Wow! What a DAY!!! Talk about G.O.D delivering!

We (Bike Trossachs HQ) had the BEST time yesterday with some absolutely fantastic folk! What an energy, what a day and what a buzz!

So many cool folk from those of you doing your longest ride ever, some of you out living your best cycling life with pals or making them as you go, some back for another swatch, some on an absolute mission & everyone just making organising bike events so worth it 🫶

Massive thank you to every one of you who came. We loved it!
