On Saturday Kittybrewster and Woodside Bowling Club were pleased and privileged to host 24 teams from around the North East of Scotland in our annual Invitation fours competition which was kindly sponsored by North East Services.

The semi finals saw the four of Scott and Duncan Nicolson, Davie Keith and Rory Oag lose out to Polmuirs team sponsored by Callum Work which included Graeme Snape, Kayleigh Dalgarno and Martyn Orchard.

Dan McKendrick, Jak Miller, Derek McNicol and Eric Gallan lost on the narrowest of margins to GrahGraham Mcdonald team from the Scottish Deaf Bowling Association which included Andrew Aitken, Ian Preston and Darren Cooper

The final was high quality and exciting, played on rink 2 across the clubhouse which had a good crowd spectating. The final end, Martyn Orchard turned the white to make 3 or 4 shots to overturn the 3 shot deficit on the scoreboard, Graham McDonald with his final bowl cut it down to just 1 shot and the umpires measure clarified the same,

Hard lines to Polmuir and well done to the Scottish Deaf Bowlers of Ian, Andrew, Darren and Graham on there win and once again Kitty would like to thank Sean and Yogi of NortNorth East Servicesr there much appreciated sponsorship and all the teams who entered locally and from further a field to help make it a special day at the club.

Also, thanks to all our volunteers (bowls, bar and kitchen), especially NeilNeil Heb Andersonr the running of the another superb day. GemmGemma Jade NicoNicola Goodng with Les, John and Becky kept us all well hydrated while we made our best attempt to drink the bar dry and lastly, the awesome KhriKhristine - Singer and Entertainer topped it all off and had the dancefloor packed, doing what she does best!

😺 KITTY ARE IN THE FINAL!! 😺

A hard fought 3-2 win against Whitehall Bowling Club tonight at Westhill that went right to the wire in the last two games sees the Kitty lads through to the Bon Accord Bowling Association Top 5 final against Polmuir Bowling Club.
