⚽ SPONSORS WANTED – GLENTANAR CFC 2013 YELLOWS ⚽

We are currently looking for local businesses and individuals who would be interested in supporting Glentanar CFC 2013 Yellows for the season ahead.

We have a fantastic group of young players who train hard, compete every week and continue to develop both on and off the pitch. The boys represent the club with commitment, teamwork and a real passion for football.

Sponsorship would help us towards the ongoing costs of running the team, including equipment, training resources, matchday expenses and other things that allow us to give the players the best possible football experience.

In return, we would be very happy to promote and recognise our sponsors through our team social media and wherever possible throughout the season.

Today, Glentanar Blues 2013s hosted Nairn County Blacks in the SYFA Scottish Cup. After a tight and hard-fought game, the Blues came away with a 1-0 win.

The boys worked incredibly hard, stayed together and showed great teamwork to hold onto the 1-0 lead and see the game over the line. A brilliant team effort from start to finish!

It was a pleasure hosting Nairn County Blacks, and we wish them all the best for the remainder of their season 🤝

⚽ SYFA Scottish Cup – What a battle! 💛💙

Culter United 4–5 Glentanar 2013 Yellows

What a game from the boys today!
We started the match exactly the way we wanted. From the opening minutes we looked confident, moved the ball well and had full control of the first half, creating chances and putting Culter under constant pressure. The hard work paid off and we went into half-time with a well deserved 3–1 lead.
But the second half was a completely different story.
Culter came out absolutely flying and threw everything at us. They increased the intensity, pressed us much higher and made sure we had to fight for every single ball. Suddenly the comfortable first half was gone and we had a proper cup battle on our hands.
The boys had to show another side of themselves today, not just good football, but character, resilience and determination.
Culter kept coming, we kept responding, and the game went right down to the wire. In the end we managed to hold on and come away with a fantastic 5–4 victory. 💪🔥
Special mention to Zaid, who found the net three times ⚽⚽⚽, and Kevin, who also got himself on the scoresheet ⚽⚽.

Plenty to learn from, especially from the second half, but these are exactly the kind of games that help a team grow. When the momentum changed and things became difficult, the boys found a way to get the job done.

Massive credit also to Culter United. They never gave up and pushed us all the way to the final whistle. 👏

⚽ MATCH REPORT | GLENTANAR 2010s

Our 2010s took on Dyce at Woodside this afternoon, meeting for the second time already this season in the opening two league games.

It was a much closer game this time around, with Dyce taking a 2-goal lead. The boys showed great character to fight their way back into the game, with Cameron scoring twice to bring Glentanar level at 2–2.

With just 3 minutes remaining, Dyce managed to find a third goal to take all three points.

A really tough one to take for the boys, who were very unlucky not to come away with something from today’s game. The effort, determination and fight shown to get back from 2–0 down was fantastic. 👏

Heads up, boys — plenty of positives to take from today! 💪⚽

Yesterday our 2019s took part in their first ever 4v4 festival at Colony Park. We were delighted with the effort that all the boys put in, and more important they all had a great time playing football.

A big thanks to some of our 2018s coaches and players and the 2010 player who came along to support the team.

We are now looking forward to the boys next festival at Banchory on Sunday!

Today the boys stepped up to the challenge once again as we faced Thistle Youth FC Jags. 💛💙⚽
After losing our first two games, there was definitely some pressure going into this one. The most important thing was to control the emotions, stay focused and finally start playing the football we know we are capable of.
From the first whistle, the result was far from certain. Thistle created some very good opportunities, especially through well-worked counter-attacks, and caused us plenty of problems. Thankfully, our goalkeeper produced some important saves and helped us keep a well-deserved clean sheet. 🧤
After the opening 10 minutes, things started to click. We found our rhythm, began to take control of the game and the boys showed great determination, effort and desire.
Two fantastic long-range strikes from our captain Kevin gave us a 2–0 lead, before Alexander B. added another to make it 3–0 at half-time. ⚽⚽⚽
The message for the second half was simple: stay focused and keep playing our football.
The boys did exactly that. We continued attacking from both sides of the pitch and eventually got our reward with another goal from Nekwu to make it 4–0.
Despite the scoreline, we couldn't switch off. Thistle kept fighting, creating chances and attacking right until the final whistle, so the boys had to remain disciplined and focused throughout.

there was some great passing, some brilliant through balls and great team effort from everyone today and some exciting football to watch keep up the hard work some cracking goals scored

Last Sunday, Glentanar CFC 2013 Yellows welcomed Culter United 2013 for our first game of the new season.
Unfortunately, the match didn’t go the way we had hoped and we had to accept that Culter were the better side on the day. With several players unexpectedly unavailable, we started the game with just one substitute - goalkeeper! Even that barely lasted, as our left back picked up an injury and had to be replaced.
Despite the difficult circumstances, we created some good chances but unfortunately couldn’t make the most of them. We went into half time trailing 1–5.
The second half was a completely different story. The boys showed great character, determination and fighting spirit. They kept working for each other, scored another goal and conceded only once in the entire second half.
The final score was Glentanar CFC 2013 Yellows 2–6 Culter United 2013.
Not the start to the season we wanted, but plenty to take from that second half performance. We’ll learn from it, keep working and come back stronger.
