June is Scoliosis Awareness Month 💚

Many people are surprised to learn that I have scoliosis.

Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that affects millions of people worldwide. For some, it's barely noticeable. For others, it can affect comfort, movement, confidence, and daily life.

As a Pilates teacher, I've learned that movement isn't about creating a "perfect" body or posture, it's about understanding and working with the body you have.

Living with scoliosis has taught me a few things along the way...
Every body is unique.
Symmetry isn't the same as health.
Strength and stability can look different from person to person.
Movement can be a powerful tool for awareness and confidence.
Patience. Good things come in time!

Pilates hasn't "fixed" my scoliosis, but it has helped me better understand my body, build strength, and move with more confidence.

Let's normalise and celebrate bodies that don't fit the textbook image of "perfect" posture and continue raising awareness about spinal health.

June is here, and I'm looking forward to another month of movement, strength, and feeling our best with you all.

Classes continue as normal throughout most of this month, so keep booking your sessions and staying consistent with your Pilates practice.

☀️ Holiday notice

I'll be away on holiday from 19th of June - 1st of July so there will be limited classes during this period.

The lovely Melissa from will be covering our Tuesday 6pm class while I'm away, so be sure to check out her classes. She is fab.

My Wednesday and Thursday regulars will receive some online classes to do in their own time while I'm away.

Join me for Mummy & Me ~ Pilates in the Park

A chance to move mindfully, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature and your little one. Each session takes place in Victoria Park, Aberdeen

All levels welcome. Just bring your mat, something for your little one to lie on, layers and an open mind.

The weather ☀️ is looking better next week, so our first session takes place:
