What a fantastic day at the Karate Scotland International Open 2026 in Motherwell, at the weekend! 🏆🥋

A huge well done to all of our competitors who stepped onto the tatami and gave it their all. The effort, determination and sportsmanship shown throughout the day was outstanding! 👏🔥

We were delighted to be bringing home 9 medals across Kata and Kumite, but even more importantly, every student represented Mindsparx Karate Academy with pride, respect and a positive attitude.

We are very proud of you all! 💜

Our Little Dragons 🐉, Little Ninjas 🥷, Tigers 🐯, Cobras 🐍 and Warriors ⚔️ all stepped onto the mats and gave it their all tonight!

Sparring isn't about winning or losing - it's about learning, improving and challenging yourself, and that's exactly what our students did tonight. 👏

We're incredibly proud of the focus, determination and sportsmanship shown by everyone. Keep up the great work! 👊

🧠✨ MEMORY MONTH IN ACTION! ✨🧠

This month, our Life Skill focus is Memory, and our Little Dragons 🐉 and Little Ninjas 🥷 have been putting their brains to the test!

This week, they took part in a fun memory challenge where they had to study a structure made from colourful equipment 🌈, remember exactly how it looked, and then recreate it from memory. 👀➡️🧩

Not only was it great fun, but it also helped develop concentration, observation skills, problem-solving and confidence.

Awesome job! 👏

Our Nunchucks Seminar on Sunday was a huge success!👏

Led by Sensei Colin, our students learned how to safely handle and use these martial arts training weapons while developing their coordination, control and focus. 🎯💪

From learning the fundamentals to practising some very cool spins, strikes and combinations, everyone worked incredibly hard and showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout the sessions. 🌟⚡🥷

It's always great to see students stepping out of their comfort zones, learning new skills and having lots of fun at the same time! 😁🙌

A massive well done to everyone who attended! 👏

A huge congratulations to all of our Little Dragons and Little Ninjas who graded on Saturday! 🥋 👏

Our students worked incredibly hard and proudly demonstrated everything they have been learning since their previous grading. From their concentration stances, front kicks, knife-hand strikes and side kicks, right through to their katas, every student gave their very best effort and showed fantastic progress.💪

It was wonderful to see their confidence, focus and determination shine through on the mats. ✨

Sensei Tracey was incredibly proud to present each student with their new belts and celebrate all of their achievements. 🎖️🥋

Well done, everyone! We can't wait to see what you achieve before the next grading! ❤️

🥊 What a fantastic evening of classes at Mindsparx Karate Academy - kicking things off (no pun intended) with Kumite across all age groups🥊

We then headed outdoors for a beach K-Club session, focusing on developing effective chambers for kicks, improving balance and refining technique 💪

✍️📜 It's all hands on deck tonight as Sensei Tracey gets ready for tomorrow's Junior Grading! 🥋

Certificates are being written out for our awesome Little Dragons 🐉 and Little Ninjas 🥷, who have been working incredibly hard in class and are now ready to show us what they can do!

The excitement is building, and we can't wait to see those proud smiles as they earn their new belts tomorrow! 🌟🏅

Good luck to all of our junior students - you've already made us proud with your effort, focus and determination.
