Aberdeen Wanderers RFC AWRFC on Twitter: Aberdeen Wanderers Rugby Football Club is a Scottish rugby union club. The season runs from August through until April.

It was founded in Aberdeen in 1928 as Aberdeen Engineers RFC and renamed in 1934, Aberdeen Wanderers represented a new step in the game of rugby in Aberdeen. Its original idea was to include as many players as possible who were not affiliated to the old style school/university clubs, and indeed today it prides itself as being
as inclusive to all ages who wish to play rugby. Its most notable player to date is Jason White who started with the club and progressed to captain Scotland. Training times are as follows:
Micros (P1-P3), P4/5, P6/7 - Saturdays 10.00am-11.30am
S1/2, U15, U16, U18 - Sundays 10.00am-11.30am and Wednesday evenings. Seniors (18yrs+): Tuesdays and Thursdays 6.30pm-8.30pm
The clubhouse is situated at the foot of Groats Road, next to Hazlehead Park.

Wanderers had another impressive win today over Huntly at home in a game that was played in a good spirit.

Both teams held a one minute applause in memory of Hamish Annand who passed away recently.

Hamish’s family were in attendance at the club for the match.

Some of Hamish’s team mates and current committee joined together in the clubhouse for a pre match lunch.

🏉 U15s League Campaign Underway! 🏉

Our U15s got their league campaign underway in Orkney last week, taking the game to 50–0 before moving into development midway through the second half. 🎉

Very blustery and wet conditions made for a challenging game for both teams, but the match was played in great spirits throughout. 👏

A huge thank you to Orkney Rugby Football Club for their excellent hospitality, as always. It’s a trip our lads always look forward to, and we wish you the very best of luck for the rest of your season. ❤️🤍🏉

Last weekend, our combined Aberdeen Wanderers & Strathmore sharks U18s travelled away to take on Glenrothes in a development match.

The final score was Glenrothes 50 – 5 Combined U18s.

A tough first outing for the squad, but plenty of promising signs of what these lads can achieve once they gel and grow together as a team. 💪

The team is already coming together nicely, especially when it comes to the bus singalongs! 🎶🚌😂
