ABBC is a bunch of badminton enthusiasts in Aberdeen who play regularly to stay physically fit and socially active.

Primary aim of the club is to play badminton for physical fitness, personal development and to organize tournaments for fun.

ABBC CELEBRATES SUCCESS AT THE ALL SCOTLAND BANGLADESHI BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2026 IN EDINGURGH.

Aberdeen Bangladeshi Badminton Club enjoyed a memorable and highly successful day at the All Scotland Bangladeshi Badminton Tournament 2026, held on Sunday, 28th June, at Edinburgh Academy.

With 16 teams competing from across Scotland, seven teams represented Aberdeen, showcasing the strength and depth of badminton talent within the club.

Tournament Results:

🥇 Champions: Maynul Nadim & Abdullah Ferdous (Aberdeen)
🥈 Runners-up: Kalam & Tariq (Edinburgh)
🥉 Third Place: Tanbir & Sadiq (Aberdeen)

Congratulations to Maynul Nadim and Abdullah Ferdous who played outstanding badminton throughout the tournament, producing exceptional performances to bring the championship trophy back to Aberdeen. Aberdeen’s success was further highlighted by TANBIR and SADIQ, who secured a third-place finish.

A special congratulation goes to MAYNUL NADIM, who was named PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT in recognition of his outstanding individual performances. This prestigious award is a proud moment for ABBC and a fitting reward for his excellent badminton throughout the day.

Congratulations to all the players, organisers and supporters for making the event such a great success.

🏸 Edinburgh Tournament News! 🏸

We are very excited to be taking part in the All Scotland Annual Bangladeshi Badminton Tournament, organised by the Lal Shobuj Badminton Club, in Edinburgh on Sunday, 28th June.

In Sha Allah, 7 teams from ABBC will proudly represent our club in this 16-team tournament.

Our participating pairs are:

🌙 ABBC Community Iftar – 22nd Ramadan | Wednesday, 11th March

We are pleased to invite you to the ABBC Badminton Club Community Iftar at Shah Mustafa Jame Mosque on Wednesday, 11th March from 5.45pm (22nd Ramadan). This is a wonderful opportunity for our club and community to come together, break our fast, and share in the blessings of Ramadan. 🤍🏸

ABBC GOLD & SILVER Mix Doubles Tournament 2026 – Results 🏆

Congratulations to Shujan & Tanvir on being crowned GOLD Champions, and to Zakir & Moin for becoming SILVER Champions of the ABBC Mix Doubles Tournament 2026!

Well done to our Runners-Up — Sadiq & Jeffery (GOLD) and Azim & Arnab (SILVER) — for their tremendous efforts and for delivering exciting, high-quality finals.

Special congratulations to Shujan bhai, the tournament’s highest-ranked player and Man of the Tournament. His performance, skill, and athleticism were outstanding throughout. 🔥👏

The event showcased impressive rallies, great determination, and excellent sportsmanship across both categories.

🌟 ABBC Annual Dinner 2026 – A Night to Remember 🌟

Alhamdulillah, the Aberdeen Bangladeshi Badminton Club (ABBC) Annual Dinner and Victory Day Doubles Tournament Prize Giving Ceremony held at Light of Bengal on Tuesday 20th January 2026 was a wonderful success. It was an evening filled with great food, lots of laughter, and memorable moments shared within our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Light of Bengal team for their warm hospitality and generous support in making the evening so special.

Sincere appreciation to all ABBC sponsors and organisers for their dedication and hard work behind the scenes. Special thanks to ABBC management committee for the excellent event presentation, and for the thoughtful reminders. Management presented the clubs previous success and future plans for 2026.

Congratulations once again to all the winners of the Victory Day doubles tournament 2025. Looking forward to many more tournaments and gatherings ahead!
