On Tuesday at 17.30 Lyle is running a BCAB Paddle Safer course at the loch, this two hour course is the first step in the accredited safety courses.

The course covers:
- Equipment
- Environmental factors
- Planning
- Practical Rescues

This is all done from your craft of choice.

This evening we wrapped up our evening group sessions with Robert Gordon's College Paddlesport Club and the Cults Tennis Club joining us.

A beautiful sunset followed by toasted marshmallows, what a way to round off our busy evening sessions.

It's been brilliant to have some many Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Guides, Boys Brigade, football and tennis groups join us.

Don't worry, the evenings might be fading but we still have spaces for groups coming in at the weekend as our season at the loch runs until the end of October!

One for the art, biology and textiles teachers!

We had an unusual request last week from a biology teacher who needed some Canadian pond w**d to show her students photosynthesis, we were only too happy for her to take some away.

We also thought some of our trashed wetsuits could be used for an art or textiles project.

Get in touch if you'd like some, very keen to have them reused in any way possible.

This autumn we're trying something new, setting dates for our British Canoeing Awarding Body courses around you! You let us know which courses you're interested in and we'll pop you in a WhatsApp chat with others who are interested to get the dates set.

Normally Lyle sets a bunch of dates and then some people can't make certain dates so this year we're flipping it on it's head.

The school holidays might be over but our adventures continue!

On Thursday we were delighted to have a team from Reach Subsea at the loch enjoying some team challenges, paddleboarding as well as being on target with axe throwing and archery!

On Saturday we had the Aberdeen H&P | Drilling Contractor team at Donmouth looking to take to a bigger environment after enjoying the loch for the last few years!

Our public sessions are still in full swing at the loch until the end of the October holidays and our evening tours run to the middle of September.

It's always great to see so many people enjoying the water and other activities we offer!

Yesterday we had a flotilla out at Donmouth as we welcomed 77th Perthshire Scouts Scotland out on the water.

Returning to us as part of their annual camp in Aberdeenshire they asked us for something new and Donmouth delivered beautifully as ever 😎

We were delighted to welcome Scill (Supporting Children in Learning for Life) down at the loch again last weekend 🙂

We had an absolute blast on the water on Sunday at Granite Adventures. So lucky to have this gem in Aberdeenshire. Thankyou Lyle and all the crew. 🙏💕
