โ€œIโ€™ve not got time to do thatโ€

When people have said to me they donโ€™t have time I know itโ€™s not an excuse and the reasons will be genuine (Work, Family, kids etc)

I know this because the problem is never how much time they haveโ€ฆ itโ€™s how they prioritise their time.

Now thatโ€™s not to say going to the gym or going for a run should be prioritised over your kids or work (as tempting as it might be)

Itโ€™s how you prioritise your free timeโ€ฆ

For example; if your someone who scrolls on their phone every morning for 15 minutes (more like 30) if you stopped doing that youโ€™d save minimum 1 hour 45 minutes a weekโ€ฆ

Or If you watch one episode of your favourite show every night before bed (which is probably two episodes) you could save anywhere from 7-14 hours a weekโ€ฆ

Now these are just two small examples and this isnโ€™t to say things need to be sacrificed and given up, itโ€™s to say that in most cases itโ€™s not about having no time itโ€™s about finding the time.

Below are some of my favourite ways to find more time โฌ‡๏ธ

1๏ธโƒฃ - Plan
Organise and plan each day in advance, what time youโ€™ll wake up, how long youโ€™ll exercise for, what youโ€™re eating and when, what time youโ€™ll go to bed etc
โ€œFail to prepare, prepare to failโ€

2๏ธโƒฃ - Routine
When possible, do the same things everyday, eat, work, exercise, sleep all at the same time to create rhythm for your mind and body.

3๏ธโƒฃ - Multitask
Combine things together to save time elsewhere.
Example 1 = Walk whilst on your lunch break to save time in the evening.
Example 2 = Cook using a slow cooker (meals prepped whilst having free time to complete other tasks)

Ultimately how you choose to spend your free time comes down you.. but next time you sit down to scroll aimlessly on your phone for an hour reading nonsense like this on instagram, ask yourself; could I be doing something more productive?

๐™’๐™ƒ๐˜ผ๐™ ๐™„๐™Ž ๐™”๐™Š๐™๐™ ๐™’๐™ƒ๐™” ?

For you to be successful in achieving your fitness goals, you must first know WHY you want to achieve them.

Without having a clear objective in mind and a genuine reason for starting your journey, the chances of you falling short of the finish are far more likely.

Whatever your goal might be, no matter how big or smallโ€ฆ you need to have a real connection to it, understand it, be passionate about it, and have a real desire to achieve it.

Without a why, youโ€™ll find yourself lacking motivation, lacking discipline, becoming bored, being distracted, finding excuses and worst of allโ€ฆ giving up.

So before you start your journey, ask yourself;

What is my why?
Why do I want to achieve this?
What value will it add to my life?
How will it make me feel once I achieve it?
What will I do after I achieve it?
What will I need to do to get there?
How long is it going to take?
What will I have to sacrifice along the way?
Am I willing to become the person I need to be?

If you know all the answers to these questions and your set on achieving your goal no matter whatโ€ฆ then itโ€™s full steam ahead!
