ACT Aberdeen Volunteer Board We believe in building people, and our volunteers are the solid foundation of ACT Aberdeen.

Since being threatened with closure in 1998 when Aberdeen City Council withdrew their funding, ACT Aberdeen has continued to run, with glorious success, as an 80% self-sustaining charity. Only through the dedication of our team of volunteers, who are the lifeblood of the organisation, can the cultural venue grow and flourish, to build an empowering and vibrant creative community. We stage a range

of affordable theatre, dance, and comedy shows, together with running an array of classes and workshops that aim to cater for all creative endeavours. Promoting local talent is high on our agenda; as we strive to invest back into the community. Our spacious gallery and our 250 seater auditorium, along with corporate entertainment spaces and meeting rooms, can provide an accessible platform for amateur and professionals, allowing culture to meet commerce and great creative success stories can begin.
