Northstar Milan 2 v 4 Formartine Utd FC
Today were away to Formartine in our 3rd game of the season.
Unfortunately for us we didn't start the game the way we wanted and we found ourselves 0-1 after 3 mins, it was unfortunate as we started the game so brightly and just an error in judgement let them through on goal and a early lead, but the boys never let the heads go down, they continued to press their defence and test their keeper and unfortunately for us their keeper was on fine form saving a couple of one on ones with Brodie. But as the half drew on we were definitely the team on the ascendancy and playing some nice 1-2 touch football and it was a joy to watch from the sidelines. But we just couldn't get that equaliser so we ended the half 0-1.

The 2nd half started and again we started brightly but another costly error 3 mins into the half again and we found ourselves 0-2. It was disappointing as we came out the traps and definitely looked like the team that was going to get the next goal, but you will get punished for mistakes in this league. But we were the team on top it only took us a minute after their goal to get one back when we were battling for the ball on the edge of their box and Brodie won the ball and played it into the path of TAYLOR who fired in for his 1st goal of the season and got us right back into the game. We were the team on top and they were definitely backs to wall trying to keep their lead, but 5 mins after our 1st, BRODIE was there to get the game all level at 2-2 after winning the ball in midfield and decided to go on a brilliant run and go past 3-4 boys before firing past the keeper to level the game, nothing more than we or he deserved! The game continued to be played at a great pace with both teams having to work hard not to concede, but as the game entered the last 10 minutes, we started to tire a bit after putting so much work to get the game level and trying to get that winner and if it wasn't for their keeper Brodie could of had at least another 2 and his hat trick. But on 73 minutes they took the lead with just a lucky ball booted into the box and they just managed to have their guy at the back who fired in for 2-3. And literally with a minute to go on 79 mins, their guy picked the ball up on the edge of the box and just fancied his chances and he took his shot and it paid off as it fired past Logan and in for 2-4, there was nothing Logan could of done, it was just a good strike. Ending the game that way.
