What injuries can be treated at a Minor Injury Unit?

Our Minor Injury Units can assess and treat adults and children over one year old with:

• Injuries to limbs and minor injuries to the head, face, neck, back and chest
• Human, animal and insect bites
• Minor burns and scalds
• Wounds and grazes
• Foreign bodies in ears, noses and soft tissues

❗ Injuries must have happened within the last four weeks. If your injury is older than four weeks, please contact your GP.

Our appointments system is changing.
We will no longer be releasing our on the day appointments twice a day.
All available appointments will be released at 8am. We will now be offering more pre-bookable appointments for on going conditions and reviews as we try and move away from the same day rush to be seen.
We ask for you to bear with us as we try to change the system. We hope this change will make it easier to get to see the GP of your choice in a timely manner.

Due to staff shortages to today, Tuesday 31 March, we will be doing EMERGENCY ONLY appointments. If you are calling to discuss results or a routine appointment please can you ring tomorrow. This will help the GP deal with the deal more urgent issues in the few slots they have. Thank you for your patience.
