Cwm Gymnastics, situated in Abercynon Sports Centre, is an inclusive club that welcomes participants

We have several coaches at the club; all are qualified in their specific area of gymnastics or are working towards gaining a qualification, as well as holding CRB's & First aid Qualifications. Sessions are available for children from the age of 4+

We are afraid that there is a waiting list to join our club. If you wish to add your child to the waiting list please use the following online form:

| NEW Fit and Fed project! |

We are delighted to have entered into a partnership with Merthyr Housing to deliver Fit and Fed at St Tydfils Gymnastics in the school holidays 2023/24!

These sessions will launch in the Easter holidays and will run:
Monday 3rd April 11-2
Tuesday 11th April 11-2

Sessions include sports and other activities plus a packed lunch and are all FREE of charge - and open to all of primary school age.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Unfortunately, due to very low temperatures in the sports centre hall this morning, we are unable to run classes.

There are sessions in St Tydfils, Cyfartha Ind Est as follows, if you are able to make these -
9-10 - Tiny Tumblers (approx age 4-6)
10-11 - Junior Jumpers (approx age 8+)
11-12.30 - Little Leapers (approx age 6-9)

⚠️ WEATHER WARNINGS!!

⚠️ We have been informed of leaks in Abercynon SC so it is not safe to run classes. Emails are on their way to members. Alternative classss will be emailed out Monday. Apologies for this!

⚠️Some of the roads at the bottom of the Kendon Hill are flooded this morning so if you are attending Crumlin please leave extra time and take extra care ☔️

Please post below any additional issues your encounter on the roads - to inform others.

We’ve had an awesome December across our venues and would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support of the club and the work we do. We are now closed until January 7th so will see you in 2023 for more gymnastics

We wish you and your families a very happy and healthy Christmas and New Year. Times are currently hard for many and we encourage everyone to use kindness and compassion this holiday season - whilst giving those you love an extra Christmas Cwtch!

This week is CHRISTMAS JUMPER WEEK!

Let’s get fully into the Christmas spirit by wearing our Christmas jumpers to sessions! Please don’t go out and buy a new one - why not do a trade, visit your local charity shop or even decorate and make your own!?

We can’t wait to see you all looking super seasonal!

This half term we have 4 different Rise Awards running … and we have a handful of spaces left for gymnasts to book on!

This term, Tiny Tumblers have covered the Core 1 skills whilst everyone else has covered Core 2.

Gymnasts who have been attending classes since Easter 2022 will also have covered Apparatus 1 (all) and Working Together 1 (Little Leapers upwards).

If your child would like to take their assessments and take home a beautiful British Gymnastics medal and certificate, please register them via your Love Admin app asap!
