Carbs aren't the enemy.

The reality? Carbohydrates are your body's preferred fuel source, especially if you're training regularly, playing sport, or looking to perform and recover well.

If your goal is fat loss, reducing some carbs can help create a calorie deficit, but carbs themselves aren't what causes fat gain. Total calorie intake, food quality, and overall habits matter far more.

For many people, prioritising protein, plenty of vegetables, and the right amount of carbs for their activity levels is a far more effective approach than cutting carbs altogether.

Don't let diet myths dictate your nutrition.

Your cycle can influence how you feel in the gym but the science doesn’t support dramatically changing your training based on cycle phase alone.

✅ Research shows strength gains can be achieved throughout the entire menstrual cycle.

✅ Some women report feeling stronger, more energetic, and recovering better during the follicular phase (from menstruation to ovulation).

✅ The luteal phase (after ovulation) may be associated with higher fatigue, increased perceived effort, and reduced recovery for some women.

✅ Individual responses vary significantly. The best approach is to use your cycle as information, not a limitation.
