A huge congratulations to Coach Klara for passing her Level 1 General Gymnastics Coach Exam! Klara joined Airies back in 2022 as a gymnast and passed many of the British Gymnastics award scheme levels. She then moved on to our Trainee Coaching Scheme, and is now a qualified coach 🤩 We are so proud of your journey 👏

Practicing our upwards circle/circle ups using a fun new progression! 🤸‍♀️
An ‘upwards hip circle’ can be found on our Advanced Level Apparatus Checklist under ‘Low Bar’⭐️
This progression helps our gymnasts learn to kick their legs up independently, with the use of a large slope😁

Are you aged 13–16 and passionate about gymnastics? Whether you’re a current gymnast or a former gymnast, our Trainee Coaching Programme could be your first step towards becoming a qualified gymnastics coach! 🤸‍♀️✨

At Airies Gymnastics Club, trainee coaches gain hands-on experience supporting gymnasts aged 4–13 alongside qualified coaches, while developing confidence, leadership skills and coaching knowledge. 💪

What’s included?
✔️ Up to 160 hours of guided learning
✔️ British Gymnastics membership
✔️ Coaching skills sign-off training
✔️ British Gymnastics Helper Course
✔️ Safeguarding & first aid courses
✔️ Assistant Foundation British Gymnastics coaching course - a recognised qualification opportunity

Watch our Tuesday Excel class working their hardest towards their handstand flat back onto a raised surface using a new progression! This skill can be found in our Rise Excel Tracker under Large Apparatus 1🤩
This progression has helped improve their core strength and overall shape. Keeping them conscious of their hand positions and body tension💪

The gymnasts performed these with the help of Coach Amy, Alice and Trainee Coach Lyra🤸‍♀️
