Vignols Bowls Club We meet Tuesday Afternoons (14h30) & Wednesday mornings (10h00) in Vignols Salle Des Fetes to play 'Short-Mat' Bowls.

Equipment provided for anyone wanting to come and try.

We would just like to thank our outgoing Mayor, Martine Souzy, for all her help, support and encouragement during her term of office and offer our warmest congratulations to Alexandra Doussaud, her former first deputy, for being elected her successor in the first round last weekend. We look forward to working with her.

Let me share the good news;
This week the Yoga Club are not using the hall so we do not need to pack the mats away on Tuesday evening!

Just so you know to look, there is now a Competition Calendar on the Noticeboard giving an indication of what events will be taking place and when (at least in terms of months). Dates and more details will be fleshed out in due course.

La première compétition interne de l'année (simple hiver) s'est terminée plus tôt dans la journée et toutes nos félicitations à Jan qui a battu Dean en finale.

Next Tuesday will be an Internal Competition Day only. The Competition Secretary has declared that there will be NO social bowls that day. If you haven't signed up to take part please come along and watch, normal play will resume on Wednesday.

The Committee has undertaken to try and run an internal competition every other month this year which will include 2 * Singles and 2 * Doubles. We will start with a Singles Competition on Tuesday 17th February. If you want to take part please enter your name on the board at the SDF by next Wednesday so we can make the draw. If you will not be in Vignols next week and want to play then just send your entry to the Club email by midday on Wednesday 11th. Thank you

Le comité s'est engagé à organiser une compétition interne tous les deux mois cette année, comprenant deux tournois de simple et deux de double. Le premier tournoi de simple aura lieu le mardi 17 février. Si vous souhaitez participer, veuillez inscrire votre nom sur le tableau d'affichage du SDF avant mercredi prochain afin que nous puissions procéder au tirage au sort. Si vous ne serez pas présent à Vignols la semaine prochaine et que vous souhaitez tout de même jouer, merci d'envoyer votre inscription par courriel au club avant midi le mercredi 11. Merci.

For the next few weeks beginners, new members or just those who want some help with their game can get some free coaching during the first session on a Wednesday morning before joining in with general play after coffee break
