The Golden Carp Lake, at Vieux-Mareuil in the Dordogne (France), is a family-run 14 acre carp fishery. We have an estimated 150 fish, with an average weight over 2020-2021 of 34.7lbs. Fish over 40lbs are common, and we have many over 50lbs, several 60lbers, and the two known monsters: the Big Common, last caught at 71lbs, and the BSM (Big Scale Mirror) caught in September 2021 at 70.4lbs! We’re back, and 2026 has started with a bang!

23 fish landed for Matt and Derek, despite the bad weather and flooded lake 💪👌😅

3 x 20's, 14 x 30's, 5 x 40's, including a cracking 42lb common, and mirrors of 47.7lb and 55lb 6oz!
