Sign our petition to save Ski Sunday!

Before social media and streaming, there was Ski Sunday. For many of us, it was our first glimpse of the mountains, the World Cup circuit and the thrill of snowsports.

This week, the BBC announced it would not be commissioning Ski Sunday after nearly 50 years on our screens.

At Snowsport England, we see every year how people progress from watching elite athletes to getting involved themselves, whether that's joining a club, taking part in competitions, learning new skills or becoming members of Snowsport England. Visibility matters. Inspiration matters.

As Chemmy Alcott, four-time Winter Olympian and former Ski Sunday presenter, says "the biggest worry is the next generation not seeing the mountains on TV, not hearing the stories, not believing that they can be part of our amazing community".

Christmas in Val d’Isere…

Take away the rush of last minute shopping traffic, food prep, washing up, relatives you might not really want to see, whilst instead you ski every day, and enjoy someone else doing all the cooking and cleaning!
