One of the SUPERWOMEN of the ZUU Rugby Team
Meet Alida Vanderlinde Potgieter

I canât believe itâs been almost a year since I started doing ZUU!!
At first it was quite intimidating (doing some serious crazy moves with rugby players... haha - luckily I wasnât the only woman on boardđ)
So thought I would just try it out... at the time I was quite tired
and bored with my usual workout routine and wanted SOMETHING different SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY WORKS! and to help me maintain âhealthy/good looking â toned muscles and melt some extra & unwanted âkillerjoulesâ đđ„
Quickly the teamâs energy, interest and motivation got me thinking thereâs more!
Coach G (Gurthro Steenkamp) always shares and inspires, and pushes us forward! Really enjoyed it, still do and couldnât wait for the next live session!
Really started to feel more confident and being accountable helped me to push harder and encourage my team.
Within two months I noticed one day that I could keep up with most moves and actually do a combination of pushups đȘđ»- never before could I do a proper push-up! That feeling that day was incredible! Yay! I can do this !! đ€©I felt my body getting stronger each week and with the awesome connection and the support from a team exercise became FUN AND CHALLENGING AND EXCITING! Determination to set better goals etc also kicked in... & bonus... my body looks and feels great, Iâve never in my life been able to maintain toned muscles as I have with Zuu!
In ZUU there are NO egos, you donât need a specific fitness level and no equipment. Since you can move at your own pace and have your own âentry pointsâ you are in charge of your body and even though at the start it seems and feels difficult it is actually very doable, and the more you do it the better you challenge yourself! đđ»đȘđ»
Zuu definitely liberates the body and pushes your mind to the limits! Unfortunately during December I got covid, and was robbed of my strength and endurance. Even though I had covid I wanted to stay in charge of my body and not let my hard work go to waste so I did the moves very slowly & smart each day and it actually helped me stay strong and helped relieve my body from the aches and pains. Wasnât easy but was determined to get better and recover in a good way.
Zuu not only challenges you each session you do it, but connects you with a team who actually cares about each other!
Thanks to Zuu, I am mentally&physically stronger to take on my other daily tasks. During Zuu sessions your body and mind gets time to work and relax - and itâs time you spend on you - To better yourself to be better out there! Definitely love the Zuu and would recommend it to anyone out there - whatever other sports or no sports you do, throw Zuu in the mix and youâll be surprised!
