Lucky Lake - Carp Fishing CARP FISHING TRIP 🇫🇷. Located just 3 ½ hours' drive from Calais, come and discover the Lucky Lake complex, comprising two lakes available for exclusive hire.

Orchard & Willow. (Formerly known as Champagne Carping, Les lacs du Verger) The two lake complex is located in the Champagne Region of France with easy access to the main arterial routes and the nearby town of Vitry-Le-Francois where all provisions are available. As mature gravel pits, Orchard and Willow Lakes are clean bottomed with all areas accessible and fishable. All of the swims have been sited to give the best access to open water and the marginal features whilst maintaining a minimal impact on the other anglers and their fishing. A great deal of effort has gone into making the environment as angler friendly as possible with good and dry access to the swims, all of which are within easy walking distance of the carp parking and catering facilities.

Week #17

We were delighted to welcome Eddie’s group, who booked the whole complex exclusively, and to say the least, they had a brilliant day’s fishing!

The complex is completely closed this week, which will do the fish a world of good, as the recent heatwave has been anything but a walk in the park for our carp friends.

Fishing resumes today with a new group of regulars who’ve taken over the whole site – let’s wish them the best of luck 🙏🏻

11 July to 18 July

We welcomed Connor’s group to the complex ; the lads had a great time. It was still really hot 🥵 but the carp were biting well, especially over the weekend.

Five new PB for the lads!! Congratulations again, and we can’t wait to see you all again 🙌

It was also a ‘food package’ week for part of the group 👨‍🍳

Catch results:

x1️⃣2️⃣ carp on Orchard Lake / biggest: 46lb common.

x1️⃣2️⃣ carp on Willow Lake / biggest: a 47lb common carp.

Another very hot week in France, but the fishing was a huge success with 1️⃣6️⃣ carp caught!

7 carp between 32 and 35 lb 🐟
1 carp of 45 lb 🐋

Late fishing report

Due to a connection issue, here is the fishing report for the last few weeks on our lakes 💦

As you know, the last three weeks have been very hot in France and fishing has been rather tricky on the whole 🥵☀️

Week 11: 6 June to 13 June

We welcomed Chris, Alan and Rob to Orchard Lake, where they had a brilliant session, landing 2️⃣0️⃣ carp

x10 30+ lb
x2 40+ lb
x1 over 50 lb

A few fish were also caught on Willow Lake by a client from Luxembourg.

Week 12: 13 June to 20 June

No clients on our lakes, which gave the fish a chance to rest in this heat 🥵

Week 13: 20 June to 27 June

We welcomed Geoff, Nige and Franck’s group to Orchard Lake, who also caught a few fish.

Week 14: 27 June to 4 July

We welcomed Scott’s group; the fishing was rather tricky, but 7️⃣ carp made it into the triangle.

We currently have guests on Orchard who are enjoying a great session; we’ll keep you updated on how it goes ⏳

We still have a few slots available on both lakes for 2026 – please don’t hesitate to contact us via private message 📜

The 2027 calendar is gradually filling up, so don’t delay in booking your fishing trip! (P.S.: New fish will be stocked on both lakes this winter)
