Le compte à rebours est lancé pour notre voyage en Corée et à Hong Kong ! Pour notre documentaire, nous aurons l'immense honneur de retrouver notre mai le Grand Maître Hwang Jang-lee.
Saviez-vous que c'est lui qui a joué un rôle clé dans la carrière de Jackie Chan ?
En préparant Drunken Master, l'équipe cherchait désespérément l'acteur idéal pour incarner le rôle principal de Wong Fei-hung. C'est Hwang Jang-lee lui-même qui a eu l'idée de recommander un jeune cascadeur de l'époque au producteur Ng See-yuen : « Nous ne trouvions pas d'acteur pour ce personnage maladroit et comique, ce qui nous inquiétait beaucoup. C'est à ce moment-là que j'ai pensé à Jackie Chan... »
Durant notre voyage, nous nous rendrons également à Gyeongju pour retourner avec le Grand Maître sur les lieux de tournage de ses plus grands classiques, et nous ferons une étape exceptionnelle au Drunken Fist Garden, un espace commémoratif spécialement dédié au Grand Maître Hwang ! Nous pourrons y filmer des lieux incontournables tels que :

The countdown is on for our journey to Korea and Hong Kong! For our documentary, we will have the immense honor of meeting Grandmaster Hwang Jang-lee.
Did you know he played a pivotal role in Jackie Chan’s career?
While planning Drunken Master, the team was struggling to find the ideal actor for the lead role of Wong Fei-hung. Hwang Jang-lee himself recommended a young stuntman to producer Ng See-yuen: "We couldn't find an actor to portray this clumsy and comical character, which caused us a lot of worry," he explains. "That's when I thought of Jackie Chan..."
During our trip, we will also travel to nearby Gyeongju, where Grandmaster Hwang will revisit and reflect upon filming locations connected to several important works. We will also visit the Drunken Fist Garden, a commemorative space dedicated to Grandmaster Hwang, exploring iconic settings and features connected to:

Hitman in the Hand of Buddha
Tower of Death, also known as Game of Death II, one of the posthumous Bruce Lee-related productions.
