The mountains do not need much introducing. From the door of the chalet, you are minutes from the lifts and a long, unbroken view of some of the best skiing in Europe. Fresh tracks by mid-morning, lunch on a sunny terrace somewhere, the slow walk home as the light goes.

For non-skiers, the same mountains offer something quieter. Snowshoeing, long lunches, the spa, the fire, the view. The week shapes itself around whoever is in it.

Every corner of Sorbiers has been chosen, not styled. The sheepskin draped on the deckchair, the worn wood of the floors, the small everyday objects that catch the afternoon light. Nothing here is trying too hard, which is, of course, the whole point.

A chalet should feel like a home you happen to be lucky enough to borrow for a week. That is what we have built here, slowly, season by season.

There is a moment, usually around the time the sun dips behind the peaks, when the chalet decides what kind of evening it wants to be. The fire takes the cue first. Then the champagne. Then everyone slowly drifts in from wherever they have been, drawn to the warmth like it was always part of the plan.

Fresh figs, ripe berries, cured meats and creamy cheeses laid out looking like a piece of art. There’s no rush to the slopes when breakfast looks like this. Our chef sources from local Savoyard producers, so every plate carries a sense of place 🍇🥭☕️

After a full day on the snow, the in-chalet treatment room is where tired legs go to recover. Soft lighting, warm towels, and a therapist who knows exactly where the tension lives after six hours of skiing.
