What they see, vs. what I see 😂 (25km, 1300m ⬆️)
Today's Recce of Pendle Cloughs was tough from the get go. I had a 20 ISH minute headstart on the men and so I thought I'd push it and see how far I could get before being caught...
Turns out I started the route in reverse so had to track back on myself 😂 headstart shortened to 10 mins...
They caught me on the first climb! I thought they'd leave me and that would be the last I saw of them all run, but they were true gents and waited for me at numerous points, making sure I was ok and didn't get lost. And trust me, this is a route where I would have had no idea where to go 🫣🥴
I often struggle to find female runners that are similarly paced to me and so I normally tag along with Eddie and his pals. They never need to wait for me, but they more often than not do and today I was very thankful of that as I meandered and tiptoed through the tussocks of Pendle Hill, following in their footsteps and trying my best to keep up to them!!
Always a learning curve, this running malarkey!
