More nice fish over the last couple of weeks. Tom from Leeds had fun landing a cracking carp on Yorkie's rod while Yorkie was helping me with another hard fighting carp on the other side of the lake!

Can't believe that 2 people have caught 'Big Daddy' (the biggest fish in my lake at 25lbs) in 3 weeks! As per my website - they were both entitled to their money back! Lol

Fishing has been getting better and better! The Tench are really going for it - caught 7 in a couple of hours - great fun on float tackle:)

Had a very cute visitor to the house this afternoon - normally see him whizzing around the lake!

The mirror is 5 kilo, the dinner plate common is just over 2 kilo and the long, lean common just under 6 kilo - but what a fight - it just didn't want to give up!

Thanks to Troy 'legend of the lake' Cavey and his mate for visiting my humble fishery on Friday! Unfortunately the water temperature was a little low so despite their best efforts never got fishy hands! What a difference 2 days of sun made though - just caught 3 lovely carp in less than an hour on light float tackle - what a scrap they gave me:))

Thank God the lake has defrosted!!! Only 2 casualties so far - 1 perch and 1 zander which I'm gutted about:( Not sure if the ice got them or they were mugged by a shoal of Roach!

Despite the cold weather Carp still feeding sometimes. Lots of bubbles everywhere!! Can't wait to christen my new match rod:) Hope everyone had a good Christmas!
