Footbridge practically finished. I will be constructing railway-sleeper steps in the Autumn to connect the bridge to the upper lawn area.

I-beams on. I had hoped to have finished the bridge this week but there will now be a slight pause before adding the oak planks and stainless-steel handrails.

Concrete's in ! The I-beams arrive on Friday. Thanks to Shaun Breen for his excellent work.

Waiting for the concrete. Three I-beams to span the gap ordered. The hole in the foreground is 2m wide x 1m deep x 1.2m long. That's 2.4 cubic metres of concrete !

Shuttering for the concrete taking shape ...

Delighted to have made a start on the footbridge linking the lawn area to the grass path that circles the lake. Footings dug. Shuttering tomorrow and concrete should be poured on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
