What an emotional experience just to cheer and watch people finish the Boston marathon. So many people gathered to support and celebrate this big moment for loved ones and for strangers, alike. Happy Earth day! Celebrate with love for the planet. Remember a time you were somewhere in nature and felt peace, empowerment, rapture and awe. One of my oldest memories, more than four decades ago, I was quietly sitting and listening to the earth - feeling the wind, the sun, the movement of leaves, the flight of a bird. That became a lifelong habit, wherever I go, I take a moment to sit or stand quietly and take in everything around me. Being fully present and open, I get to truly know, not just see, nature down to the depths of rocks, roots and soil, and up to the heights of treetops and mountain peaks; I get to experience the deep interconnectedness and unpretentious grandness of it all.

It’s been six weeks of staying at home, each day seems to blend in with the next, daily routines repeated over and over again. Monotony may seem boring at first, yet if you embrace it, if you surrender to it, you find that the simplicity of repetition and the steadiness of routine, bring some elegance, beauty, certainty and calm. Certainty and calm feels like the right mode for now.

Women should be celebrated more often than the one day a year. So, here’s a belated International Women’s day post :)
So many women of all ages among my friends and out into the world are becoming more and more confident in themselves, being comfortable with who they are, and becoming who they want to be. More and more girls and women celebrate, support and inspire each other. Collectively, we are raising a new generation of empowered women. My daughter keeps growing with many female role models and mentors and she’s also becoming a source of inspiration to me and others. All that makes me so glad

It’s the end of February and I’m thinking of the end of August. I feel like jumping on the beach today. A good thing to know about the brain is that remembering and reliving, as well as planning, positive experiences is just the same to our brains as if it’s actually happening.
