After a long period of hibernation (I was studying for the bar exam for almost a full year), I am returning to social media. First of all i would like to congratulate all table tennis athletes on the great achievement of representing their respective countries at the . The crème de la crème in men's singles category were Fan Zhendong 🇨🇳🥇, Truls Möregardh 🇸🇪🥈and Félix Lebrun 🇨🇵🥉. In women's singles, the podium belonged to Chen Meng 🇨🇳🥇, Sun Yingsha 🇨🇳🥈 and Hina Hayata 🇯🇵🥉. As for the mixed doubles event, the gold medal winners were Wang Chuqin & Sun Yingsha 🇨🇳🥇 who defeated phenomenal North Korean pair of Kim Kum-yong and Ri Jong-sik 🇰🇵🥈, and the bronze was claimed by Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin 🇰🇷🥉. In the team event, the men's gold medals went to China 🇨🇳🥇who defeated highly motivated team Sweden 🇸🇪🥈, and the bronze glory went to hosts - France 🇨🇵🥉. This was also (probably) Ma Long's last Olympic appearance - and what a way to finish it - another gold in his pocket! In the women's team event, China 🇨🇳🥇defeated Japan 🇯🇵🥈 in the final, and South Korea managed to win bronze 🇰🇷🥉.
All in all i would say that these Olympic games provided us - table tennis fans, with some quality content and great highlights. And for that thank you to all the players!
