Lost at sea — and a smartphone became a lifeline. 🌊📱

During a drift dive in Southeast Asia, a diver became separated from his group as visibility dropped, currents increased and heavy rain made it almost impossible for the boat to spot him.

Thanks to his phone inside the DIVEVOLK SeaTouch 4 Max, he was able to access the touchscreen at the surface, find his exact coordinates and contact the dive boat captain.

Just 15–20 minutes later, the boat found him.

A powerful reminder that a smartphone underwater housing can be more than just a tool for photos and videos — in an emergency, it can become an essential safety tool.

Lost in the ocean for three days — and still working. 🌊📱

During a dive trip near Brisbane, Weiyang accidentally lost his Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra inside a DIVEVOLK underwater housing.

For three days, the housing was exposed to saltwater, waves, sand, and changing tides before it was finally found by a stranger on a completely different beach.

The biggest surprise came when the housing was opened: the phone inside was completely dry, undamaged, and switched on immediately.

This incredible real-life story shows how important reliable protection is when the unexpected happens underwater.

🐑🌿 A tiny discovery with a big impact.

Sanya-based dive instructor and underwater photographer Rick documented what is being considered the first clear record of a Leaf Sheep Sea Slug in mainland Chinese waters near Wuzhizhou Island.

Using a Huawei smartphone inside a DIVEVOLK SeaTouch 4 Max Plus Platinum housing, he captured this tiny marine wonder in remarkable macro detail—showing how smartphone underwater photography can help reveal species that might otherwise remain unnoticed.

🌊 What if underwater 3D mapping only required a smartphone?

The team at Citizen of the Sea is proving exactly that. By combining a DIVEVOLK underwater housing with the Polycam app, they can create detailed 3D models of coral reefs directly underwater—without bulky, expensive survey equipment.

The new workflow is faster, more portable, and allows researchers to review 3D models and take measurements almost immediately, making marine research and conservation more efficient than ever.
