Woohoo ✨
I've been talking about the book How Women Rise everywhere to everyone. Ok, almost everyone.  So when my wonderful colleague Wendy Hanson at BetterManager invites me to her podcast with Sally Helgesen, co-author of the book and women leadership expert, I feel like bragging and sharing ☺️

What an honor to share the space with these two fantastic women and discuss Women's leadership, unconscious bias, and inclusion.

Behind the scenes story: my internet connection didn't work that day. I had to log off and on many times and felt like apologizing over and over. I didn't, thanks to Sally's book. Actually, I did it once :) For those who didn't read the book yet, please get the book and check which habit this is.

Saviez-vous que 99,9% des êtres humains ont une constitution génétique identique ?

Si nous nous intéressons aux besoins de bases de l’être humain, nos expériences sont probablement similaires: nous avons tous faim et soif. Nous avons besoin de dormir. Nous passons tous par la puberté. Nous avons/aurons tous des cheveux blancs. Nous savons tous que, sans exception, nous mourrons un jour.

Sur le plan émotionnel, nous sommes également très similaires: nous avons tous souffert d’une manière ou d’une autre, au cours de notre vie. Nous rions. Nous sommes touchés par les autres. Nous pleurons. Nous avons tendance à nous recroqueviller ou nous fermer quand nous ressentons de la tristesse ou de la honte. Nous nous ouvrons quand nous nous sentons joyeux, libres ou excités. Notre corps libère de l’ocytocine lorsque nous faisons un câlin. Notre cœur bat plus fort lorsque nous embrassons quelqu'un que l'on aime.

Nous avons aussi des objectifs similaires. Nous voulons tous être en sécurité, heureux et aimé. Nous réagissons différemment aux challenges de la vie, mais nous cherchons tous la même chose. .

"How women rise" is a smart book, well documented, & pragmatic.

The authors, Helgesen and Goldsmith identify the 12 self limiting habits that they believe hold many women back in their career, use real/insightful examples, and offer a practical and measurable action plan.
