Going off the grid for a bit.

I'm heading to Burning Man for the next 10 days — trading judogi for goggles and dust masks. No signal, no wifi, just the Black Rock Desert and whatever chaos it throws at me.

I might catch internet once or twice if I'm lucky, so don't worry if replies are slow.

When I'm back: fresh footage, new stories, and probably some questionable life choices to tell you about.

My first training camp in France just happened — Judo Camp Excellence in Chateauroux. And it was special. 🥋🇫🇷

Six years traveling the world teaching judo for free — and I finally got to be a participant myself, right here at home.

Five days, some of the best coaching I've had on this whole journey. The technical level was up there with the highest I've seen anywhere — the kind you only find in a handful of countries.

But what really got me was the atmosphere. Students aged 12 to 19, teenagers, given real freedom to enjoy their time — while running a brutal schedule underneath it: 6:15am to 8pm, minimum 7 hours of training a day. That mix built an absolute complicity between students and staff.

Midway through, they threw in a full-day event straight out of a Netflix show — 100% physical, Ninja Warrior style. Teams battling all day through games mixing power, strategy, cohesion. The winning team walked away with tickets to the Paris Grand Slam. 🔥

None of this happens without my friends at AJA Paris XX. They organized everything, pulled every contact they had, and turned this into something way bigger than a training camp. That's what judo is supposed to feel like.

This isn't a one-time thing. Châteauroux is now a yearly stop — same time, same energy, every year. I'll do my best to be back.

So here's the deal: next year, if you're serious about your judo, get on a plane. Come train with us in Châteauroux. Doesn't matter where you're from — this camp is for you too.
