Today is Cross Training.
Welcome to Cross Training athletes!
We meet at L'Appart Fitness and more precisely in the functional training spaces. Let's go for a high intensity class with interval work that will allow you to constantly push your limits! Not bad is not it ? Come on, overview of the benefits of this super complete course with two completely conquered members.
But first ; What is Cross Training?
Cross Training is a "cross training" that is to say that it is at the crossroads of several disciplines such as weightlifting, gymnastics, strength or athletics. So you will have understood it, it is a super complete sport with the objective of working the body (in HIIT mode (High Intensity Interval Training)).
THE GOAL = get out of your comfort zone to progress quickly as explained by Julianne, member of L'Appart Fitness in Lyon 8 Laennec.
“We go from workshop to workshop, alternating cardio, leg and arm work. It's not like the BodyPump where we are less about the speed of ex*****on and where we focus on one area. I can't find these feelings anywhere else. »
The more you break the routine in your workouts, the less your body gets used to the exercises and relies on what it has learned. By alternating very intense periods and less intense periods, you draw strength from deep within you and you burn, in addition, a maximum of calories! At the top if you prepare your summer body!
Over the course of the sessions, you will become more and more comfortable with the exercises and you will be able to chain the repetitions.
What are the benefits of Cross Training?
The first benefit of Cross Training = improvement of all of your athletic qualities such as agility, balance, speed, power, precision, resistance, coordination, flexibility, strength and cardio while making the mind work. (That's a lot, we catch our breath! Ahah)
As you will have understood, it is a super complete workout that makes an excellent complement to other sports such as running or combat sports.
Very intense, it also allows you to destock fat and burn calories long after exercise - and yes! — once you get home, your body continues to eliminate for a few hours. This is the after-burn effect. Concretely, the body needs time to recover from intense effort and this recovery represents extra work, so it burns calories like nothing. Who would've believed that ?
But how does a Cross Training class at L'Appart Fitness work?
At L'Appart, the class lasts 45 minutes in a small group of 8 to 10 people to allow the coach to monitor how the movements are performed; it avoids injuries and optimizes the effort as well as possible!
You can find on site: battle ropes, kettlebells, weighted bags, jump ropes, boxes or even TRX. Something to vary the pleasures while in fitness. The workout is cardio-focused and quite intensive.
