✈️ Getting There
From Lima, it’s about a 3.5 to 4-hour drive south. The journey follows the coastal desert and the Pacific Ocean, already setting the tone with a strong sense of adventure before you even arrive.

📅 Best Season
From May to November, conditions are at their most reliable, with regular winds and very little rain. The austral winter (June–August) brings smooth, stable air, while spring can offer slightly more dynamic conditions.

Dreaming of flying over one of Europe’s most stunning plateaus? In the heart of the Umbrian Apennines, Castelluccio is a true paragliding paradise. Vast plains, smooth relief, and reliable winds make it perfect for cross-country, thermal flights, or relaxed soaring above an iconic landscape.

🪂 Why Fly Here
Castelluccio offers generous lift, a favourable microclimate, and takeoffs facing almost every direction. The Pian Grande provides wide, safe landing zones, while surrounding hills produce strong thermals — ideal for progression, long airtime, and memorable XC flights.

✈️ Getting There
Perugia airport is about 1h30 away; Rome around 2.5–3 hours by car. The ascent to the plateau is spectacular, with winding roads, hilltop villages, and breathtaking views of the Sibillini Mountains.

📅 Best Season
May to October delivers the most consistent conditions. June and July are especially magical during the Fioritura, when the plateau bursts into colour. Autumn brings calmer air and often longer, smoother flights.
