It's hard to say but we have decided that 2025 will be our last season and Steph (Le Chief) will be retiring in November. Our thanks to everybody who has supported us over the years.

Another new team member to meet: Roxy. When we picked Denki the cat up from the animal shelter in December, we met Roxy and she won our hearts. After numerous trips to visit her, take her for walks, introduce her to Polly, and finally a home visit, Roxy moved in last Wednesday. She has already made herself thoroughly at home.
We're yet to establish her official Alder Lake role but for the moment it's Assistant Tail-Wagger to Polly!

Meet our new team member Denki! He is to be Alder Lake's chief rodent deterrent operative 😉 We picked him up from the animal refuge on Saturday and he has settled in really well.

We are back from our amazing holiday in Japan and catching up with Benji. It was a great experience from start to finish and I particularly liked our trip over the volcanic vents at Odowara, very comforting that the cable car carried emergency oxygen 🤣 . All the places we visited were clean, smart and efficient although I have to admit that the Tsunami of tourists at Kyoto came as a shock. At the other end of the scale I loved the remote Cape Muroto and our traditional Japanese Inn where we were given traditional clothes to wear and a traditional communal hot tub for the weary traveller.

Our time away came to an end far too quickly and we travelled back to Tokyo but express then Shinkansen (Bullet train, although the nose is based on the Kingfisher beak) . The plane took off on the great circle east so we have circumnavigated the globe!

We are in Kochi in the south of Japan and we saw some Grassies in the wild

Last sessions of the year with Jack and Jack, After a slow start they landed 3 x fifties, 6 x forties, 2 x thirties 1 x 29lb and 3 grassies to 28lbs. They also did some great photography, my favourite is the Milky Way starscape. Well done.
