Recently Chairman of Hyderabad Bicycling Club and Board Member, World Cycling Alliance Mr. V Manohar Dontamsetti was invited to World Cycling Conference in France as a speaker. It gives us immense pleasure to know he is putting us on global map where no one knows India as Cycling enthusiastic country. Here we would like to share his experience with all of you.

Dear All,
The World Cycling Conference viz, Velo-City 2015 at Nantes, France was a big success with over 1500 delegates from over 60 countries across the world participating in the same. There was a large cycling exhibition in which manufacturers of cycles as well as cycling accessories participated in large numbers.
I had the privilege of being the speaker at the concluding plenary session where the Co Speakers were Ministers from Germany, Netherlands and France and UN Coordinator. My speech was well appreciated by the large gathering of delegates from all over the World. I would be sending you the link for the same once I get it from the conference organisers. I also spoke at the TV show session on "Bicycle with pride of place in public space and housing" which was telecast by French as well as other European TV Channels.
I also had the privilege of having lunch on the concluding day with the Former PM of France, Ministers from Germany, Netherlands & France, UN Coordinator and President, World Cycling Alliance.
The highlight of Velo-City 2015 is the Velo Parade on 3rd June evening in which over 7000 cyclists of all ages from children to senior citizens participated enthusiastically. It was a 2 hrs cycle ride on the main streets of Nantes city between 5 to 7 pm. Though it was the peak traffic hour, the traffic was very well regulated to ensure a smooth flow for the Velo Parade. It was the largest cycle ride that I ever witnessed and I am delighted to be a part of it. I attach herewith photographs of some of the events.

Hearty Congratulations to Mr. Manohar Dontamsetti for being invited to address the World Cycling Conference viz., Velo City 2015 at Nantes, France between 2nd to 5th June. He has been given the privilege of addressing the Closing Plenary session on 5th June which is expected to be attended by over 1200 delegates from all over the world. Other speakers include Mr Dominque Lebrun, French Minister, Ms Johanna Rolland, Mayor of Nantes, Ms Chou Li Fang, Deputy Mayor of Taipei (Taiwan) & Mr Manfred Neun, President of World Cycling Alliance.
He is also invited to speak at the session "Bicycle with pride of place in housing and public space" at the Velo City 2015 which will be telecast live by French TV.

Gurjeet Singh is riding across India to spread the Save and Educate Girl Child cause and to promote cycling as a lifestyle.
Gurjeet Singh is on a mission, he aims to ride through all the 29 states of our country, touching each capital city, on his bicycle. Gurjeet hopes to gain an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records once he completes his journey. The 31-year-old cyclist has covered 8000+ km's as of today is currently riding in Nizamabad.
