Morning guys.
I had a phone call last week and a returning guest asked if I could put him in an area of the river that might have a few fish.
I first met Robbie maybe 10 years ago on the Ebro in Spain then again a few years ago when he came as a client on my guided fishing holidays.
Robbie is no stranger to fishing, in fact he's probably a better angler than Iam. Lol
But he needed some info on where to fish.
I gave him a few spots to look at but he ended up in an area I hadn't shown him and he rang me before he set up.
We chatted and I advised him to try another area up stream from where is was.
My reasons for this is that the area he was in has a bit of angling pressure and although he would catch the bigger fish wouldn't in my opinion be there.
Fair play to Robbie he took my advice and moved.
I'm not actually guiding Robbie just helping him out as a friend.
After his first night he messaged me this morning saying he had lost a fish in the night so I messaged him back saying I was sorry he lost it.
The crafty bu**er had me feeling sorry for him until he told me he had this 41lb river monster shortly after he had lost the first one.

This is how angling should be not all this cloak and dagger stuff.
