HYROX Geneva; Safe to say⊠it was way better than expected. If youâve been on the fence about signing up, hereâs my take and why Iâd highly recommend it.
My final prep? Pretty rough.
I was hit with gastro, then straight into COVID, which lingered longer than it should have. I only managed one proper session in the four weeks leading up to race day. However, I knew Iâd done the groundwork, so it came down to mindset and showing up. Big thanks to Stu for pushing me through it!
Why HYROX?
Iâve followed HYROX for years but never fully committed. I wasnât sure it would live up to the hype. But this time, I signed up for a bit of personal accountability, and to give the team at the gym a goal to train toward and It did exactly that.
I became the most consistent Iâve been in years and I saw the same shift in others at the gym. Everyone trained harder, smarter, and started seeing results.
Feeling stuck?
This could be what you need. If youâre in a bit of a rut, not seeing progress, or just need something to work towards, HYROX is the perfect reset. It gives your training purpose, adds structure, and brings back that motivation we all lose sometimes.
Is it worth doing? 100%, yes.
Donât let social media fool you, itâs not just for elite athletes or influencers. There were all kinds of people on the start line: every shape, size, fitness level, and age. Some were chasing a time, others just wanted to finish. The only pressure is what you put on yourself.
