📣 BODY PROPORTION - Is It Genetic ?
How your body looks when you become fit doesnt only depends on genetics.
Not every fit person looks as good for the same amount of muscle and bodyfat, depending on balance and proportions.
This is not a consequence of genetic features, its a consequence of the exercices you practice.
If you'r whole body is build mainly on bench presses, you have a certain look.
If you'r whole body is build mainly on rowings and dead lift movements like a powerlifer, you get a different look.
If you are a gymnastics rings specialist, another look.
There is nothing worst than training, getting muscles, and still looking bad because you are out of proportions.
📣 To my eyes, good balance requires you to work on PULLING exercices as a dominant aspect.
Dont ever become stronger at pushing exercices than at pulling ones !!
You'll develop imbalances in your body which will both look bad and render you more susceptible to injuries.
In the bodyweight world this means starting with... PULL UPS
Pull ups are fondational. If you want to build yourself with bodyweight you need to start by increasing your pull ups to at least 25 reps 🏆
Then you HAVE to go to front lever practice (starting with the tuck front lever) there is a complete tutorial on my page .
Of course you still have to do pushing strength but you should always strive to do AT LEAST the equal amount of pulling work if not more !
That's how you will look more balanced as well as making your body less prone to injuries 💯
I feel like people over do pushing strength because they think the chest is what makes the front of their body impressive. But counterintuitively what most people lack from the front is not chest its arms and forearms.
Most gym buddies have an overdevelopped chest compared to their arms and that doesnt look so natural in my opinion.
To conclude focus on PULLING strength and ARMS if you want to harmonize your body ✅️✅️✅️
