Nine years ago, freshly married, I went to Florence for the first time. Not really my choice, but I did it.
With time, I understood that it’s very common for me to follow something or someone, but is it a real choice?
Looking back, I can confirm that a lot of the time I wasn’t able to say the truth - what do I want? What do I think? Ego is making us so egocentric ( too big or too small ) that we can become paralyzed. Again, it’s about choice and awareness.
Awareness is like being sober when everyone around you is pretty drunk. It’s the choice to stay or to come back home earlier.
Choices that do good for us, and less for others.
Like people-pleasing.
It’s promoted as being kind and generous,
but in reality, it’s a very self-destructive pattern.
I’m paying for it today, and recovering energetically
but the good news is that it’s all part of the experience.
We can say it was not my choice, but something brought us here in Florence, in relationships, in this job, to this client, to this disease, or to that or to this..
I believe that we are all guided, and each step counts. Like in the second picture... stairs in Paris like an infinite spiral that keeps turning, calling us to meet ourselves in every moment, to stop searching for results, and simply be in the graceful process of walking.
Happy anniversary to something I’m deeply grateful for. To everything it gave me, everything it revealed, and everything it gently led me toward.
Deeply inspired to welcome a new chapter.
