Hi Everyone .... the Alps are covered in snow.
Sadly the French Government won't allow the ski lifts to open till 20th January :-(
But my Chalet and apartments will be ready for the ski season starting late Jan.
I plan to be there late December to build, renovate and enjoy the mountain air.
Chez Helene and my ski apartments are available for Christmas and New Year for anyone wishing to book a snowy time away.

I now also have ski apartments in Plagne Bellecote that sleep 4-6....ski in/ski out, free wi-fi and free access to the outdoor heated swimming pool. Restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cinema, ice skating rink, snowmobiles all in resort. Huge skiing area, and linked to Les Arcs (Paradiski)...Family and group friendly, and excelent skiing for all levels from total beginners (with carpet lift and gentle slope) to off piste and mogul bashers. Airport transfers available for families/groups of up to 8.

It was snowing in the local resorts yesterday, so winter is definitely just around the corner, which means the skiing and snowboarding can start. Anyone wanting to come skiing this year please do get in touch....flights are as cheap as ever with Easyjet from £50 return, and I am offering 3/4 day long weekend breaks for those of you wanting to ski for 3 full days with just one day off work, for an amazing all inclusive cost, including food, from just £375. 7 day trips, all inclusive from £450 to £675. Hi Ski fans.....Winter is fast approaching, so that means SNOW is on its way ... and that means Skiing and Snowboarding starts soon...in fact in just 75 days as I have a group booking to arrive on 13th December !!!!.....
This summer, I went skiing in late August on the Matterhorn Glacier 3,900m ASL, above Cervinia (Zermatt/Cervinia)...The snow was absolutely amazing, indeed it was as good as it gets in the winter here in France in January, and the slopes, though relatively short, were great fun to race down. However, the drag lifts were a real drag.... absolute leg killers. So, would I do it again....YES, but only somewhere that has a proper comfortable ski lift or underground train, so more research to do for next year. I went off piste a few times, till the last day when I came across a 12" crack in the piste ! Glaciers move, and it certainly shifted that day.

We are enjoying fantastic Skiing and Snowboarding this week, on excellent pistes, with over 50cm of snow expected to fall over the next week. The chalet is still available from this Friday 7th to Saturday 15th Feb (8 days) for just £250 per person for 7 full days of skiing & snowboarding. Anyone interested in booking, please get in touch.
