Back in the water and already looking ahead! 👀
After a short refit following The Ocean Race Atlantic, Malizia 4 is ready to fly again. Our Tech Team has been busy checking the boat and repairing the few things that took a beating during the race, including the foil system. 🔧

And there’s not much time to slow down…
⛵️ Boris is now training for the Route du Rhum, starting on 1 November
🇬🇵 After the finish in Guadeloupe, Malizia 4 will head straight to Alicante
🛠️ Another refit and training sessions will follow
🌍 Then, on 17 January, we start again on The Ocean Race!

A pretty intense few months ahead for the entire Team Malizia crew. 😅

The Ocean Race Atlantic was a LOT & went by too fast 😅
Way too much happened onboard to explain it all while we were racing, so here’s the full recap 👀
All the issues, the fixes, the decisions, the highs, the lows… and Malizia 4’s very first race!

That race went by way too fast for us to explain everything that was happening onboard in real time...
There was a lot going on out on The Ocean Race Atlantic. Technical issues, unexpected problems, changing conditions, tough decisions… and a crew constantly having to adapt and figure things out as they went.

And all of this happened during Malizia 4’s very first race. 🚀

So, we put together a full recap video to show you what actually happened from New York to Lorient, what went wrong, how the crew dealt with it, and what we learned along the way about our new racing boat.
3,000 miles. A brand-new boat. One hell of a first race.

🏁 WHAT. A. RACE.
After more than 3,000 nautical miles and eight days of intense racing, the four leading boats ended up match racing all the way to the finish, crossing the line just 27 minutes apart. What a way to finish The Ocean Race Atlantic!
After an incredible final sprint, DMG MORI Global One crossed the finish line just five minutes ahead of Malizia 4. Huge congratulations to DMG MORI, United by the Ocean and Team Francesca Clapcich for an incredible fight all the way to Lorient. 👏
For us, this was the first race onboard our brand-new Malizia 4. Despite some bad luck along the way, we can say one thing for sure: this boat has what it takes to win races. 💪
Now, time to get some rest before we go racing again. 😉

One coffee for Boris, then straight back to full power onboard Malizia 4.

From Boris at the helm to some seriously wild foiling action from the drone, Day 8 gives you a glimpse of life onboard as the race enters its final stages. And of course, there’s plenty happening below deck too, with Julien and Justine working together to keep the boat moving.

The finish is getting closer and every mile counts. 👀
