The food was terrible and the place was crap Is definitely something that CANNOT be said about hideaway I think Steve was trying to kill us with the portions let alone how delicious they was! Huge homemade meals every day was more exciting to us than the fish 🤣 the presentation was spot on.

The facilities was absolutely outstanding clean and tidy and the shower! Omg just perfect, right what you need after a long day getting mucky and anything needed Steve and Elaine was more than happy to assist too.

I myself am not a pro angler by any means and Steve was more than happy to tinker around and show me very important skills like tying my own rig, testing it and actually putting it to use and catching PB after PB formally teaching me but not in any way speaking down or dismissing if ever you get stuck would definitely recommend asking him.

And the fish are absolutely immaculate not a mark on them, the lowest we managed to pull was 21lb which is a cracking start for anyone on the hunt for bigger carp. We ended the week with 10 and a good almost 30lb.

Unfortunately we was only there a week and we genuinely cannot wait to book in again next year hopefully for two, Steve Elaine Harry Jake and Dylan couldn’t have welcomed us into their home any more if they tried we will definitely be missing them just as much as the fishing.

Luke and Jody left early this morning making the long trek back to the midlands, great week, Jody broke her Pb 3 times and Luke done his, lovely couple really got what we are about, they left with big smiles, totally chilled, well fed and hopefully picked up a few tips along the way, now part of the Hideaway family! We waved off to Raymond, Ivana and Chloe this morning, 3rd stay with us fantastic family, been a tricky week on the fishing front it being 30 plus everyday peaking at 39!, but a great time was had by all, great to see you again guys, Bon voyage and see you again

Sadly we said goodbye to Dolar and Pat this morning after 4 memorable weeks, filled with banter, laughter shopping trips and some fantastic lunches, 36 landed in very hot conditions with cold nights thrown it, as always guys a pleasure to have you here friends not clients, safe journey, and until the next time au revoir!

Update on Dolars progress 10 days in ( including shopping and lunches out) 27 so far, Dolars 8th trip and could be a record breaking trip, as always Pat playing gillie netting, photographs, watercraft and rig tips!

We welcome back Dollar and Pat our first customers been back every year since, seen the boys grow up and the hound get grumpier, not clients anymore but firm friends who spoil us with Uk goodies and home made cookies, 4 weeks of chilling and catching,number 5 landed this afternoon hopefully cool down soon, welcome back guys!

We said goodbye to the Mulligan family yesterday, together with 7month old Thomas, caught some great fish and enjoyed some quality family time, thanks guys and see you again,
