One of these days I will write at length on all the different changes I’ve made the past 5 years. Suffice to say I tried to live in 3 different places and none of them worked out. But the journey has definitely made me a more understanding, more open person.
If you’re trying to make changes and nothing is really sticking, I see you! The main thing is who you are becoming in the process.

Resting well is essential to happiness 💛

Growing up my immediate family never rested but then some extended family never worked. So I never found the truth between the two extremes. When I was growing up in Greece my experience was a mix of crazy hard workers, people way too chill, and news scandals of corruption that I never knew how to explain. The capitalist work ethic also didn’t make it easy to have a conversation about what was actually healthy.

But as a species we are designed with clear principles on working and resting: for every stint of work you need to recover. Every night. Every weekend. Every quarter. Every year.

Booking yourself an adventure in nature, where pretty much everyone books solo and you’re in the hands of guides you’ve never met before; is basically what I expect people to do when they come to us Active Adventure Retreats 🏃🌞 .
So it’s important and essential to also be a guest once in a while.
I booked this week a while back without thinking too much about it, to get some mountaineering skills. As with every adventure, you get infinitely more than the sum of its parts. Teamwork is everything, not every moment is easy but we learn from one another and your world view expands if you’re open to it.
