Eight lessons 2025 reminded me of:

1) My worth isn’t measured by my level of service.
Working in the support space, this was a big (and uncomfortable 😣 ) reminder. It’s easy to tie worth to how much you give or how much you can help. But this year reaffirmed that overgiving leads to burnout, not necessarily better work.

2) Not everyone will share your joy or celebrate your growth and that’s not your problem to solve.
Some people cannot meet you where you’re going. That doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. It simply means not everyone wants to walk alongside your expansion. This year, I stopped shrinking or over-explaining and placed my energy where it was genuinely welcomed.

3) You don’t want a bigger business. You want one that supports your life. Scale literally means nothing if it comes at the cost of wellbeing or presence. I’ve become far more interested in sustainability, spaciousness, and work that fits the life I actually want to live.

5) Rest isn’t something you earn at the end of productivity. It’s literally what makes it possible.
When I’m rested, everything flows better. My thinking is clearer, my work improves, and my relationships feel easier. Rest isn’t indulgent, it’s practical.

5) Depth over breadth.
Still learning this one, but carrying it forward. Being everywhere dilutes presence. Choosing depth brings more connection, less overwhelm, and a fuller way of living.

6) Family really is everything.
This year deepened my appreciation for family. It’s been a hard season, but one that brought us closer & im so grateful for the connection on the other side.

7) Other people’s inner worlds are not mine to manage.
You can care deeply without carrying what isn’t yours. Let people be in charge of themselves.

8) Hard conversations, handled with care, deepen connection.
Avoidance keeps things comfortable, not close. The relationships that grew this year chose honesty and repair over silence.

2025 was a year of shedding what no longer fit 🐍
2026 is about rising with confidence and walking your own path 🐎
Let what matters most set the pace.

Happy New Year Darlings - May you rise, shine and continue to sparkle ✨ ###

I recently came across a term called the “sacred window” (thank you ) and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.

I believe its roots are traditionally Ayurvedic and it refers to the sacred window of time just after you have a baby. A window where rest, care, and nourishment are crucial and whatever happens in that window matters, deeply.

But what I just love is how that idea can stretch far beyond postpartum. That the “sacred window” can be any season of life that might otherwise pass without us really noticing. A moment, a phase, a chapter where we are particularly open, sensitive, alive to what’s unfolding.

Rarely do these windows announce themselves. Rarely do they feel dramatic while we’re in them. In fact they’re probably quiet, rather ordinary, almost invisible… until they’re gone.

It honestly hit me harder than I expected. Maybe because I can feel how narrow this window really is. How temporary. How unforgiving time can be if we rush through it distracted, striving, half elsewhere or just so in our own heads the whole time. And also because I can feel how lucky I am to be inside it.

So right now, I’m doing my best to hold my Sacred Window with so much reverence. Definitely NOt perfectly.. absolutely not without frustration or the occasional/frequent meltdown lol, but with gratitude that runs deep in my bones.

Because one day, and one day soon, this window will quietly close, and all I really want, for this christmas and beyond is to look back and know that I was here for it. Truly here.

So I guess my hope for this Christmas, and for this strange, lovely space between Christmas and New Year, the one that always feels like a little bubble of time slowing down, is that you let yourself be in your Sacred Window too. Whatever that looks like for you. Less doing, more noticing. Less rushing, more being. Just being here, in what’s already unfolding.

Lots of love, always - H ###

December so far…

The internet feels like such an bizarre place to me right now.. so synthetic and unreal. I have never really loved sharing too much of my life here (and I’m not sure I’m planning on changing that) but in a world full of machines I find myself wanting to share the human moments a little more than before.

So here are a few of my favourite human moments, with some of my favourite humans, mixed in with a few words that have really stayed with me lately ❤️

This is a trend I can get on board with.

I’m not much of a public sharer, but I love the intention behind this one: to show the corners we don’t often share.

Because the reality is, everyone’s story has context. And when we take small pieces of someone’s life and hold them up against our own, we create impossible standards - especially for women and mothers.

So here are a few of my corners, with the context. The parts you don’t see, but that make all the rest possible. ❤️

(And If you’re tired of comparing yourself to everyone else’s corners without context, my self-paced program, The Journey Back to You, was created for you.

It’s for mums ready to stop measuring themselves against impossible standards and start coming home to who they really are.

The pressure of being a working mum is relentless. (And when I say working mum I mean “paid” work outside the house - because let’s be honest being a mum is work - the hardest, most important kind)

You’re expected to give 100% at work, 100% at home, and somehow still find the energy to “take care of yourself” too.

It’s no wonder so many of us end up feeling like we’re constantly failing - in our careers, in our parenting, our marriages.. all of the above!

At the heart of this is what is known as the Perfect Working Mother Myth - the unspoken belief that to be a “good mum,” you have to do it all and do it perfectly, without ever dropping a ball.

It’s exhausting. It’s unsustainable.
And it’s time to let it go.

This masterclass was designed for mums working outside the home, navigating the impossible juggle of career and family life.
But the truth is, these myths touch all mums — whether you work, stay at home, or do a mix of both.

✨ Debunking the Perfect Working Mother Myth
📅 Tuesday, 23rd September
🕗 8:00pm UAE time
📍 Live on Zoom

The session will be recorded, but the replay will only be available for 24 hours.
PLUS: there’s a special live-only offer for those who join me on the call!

You don’t have to keep carrying the weight of this myth..let’s rewrite the story of what it really means to be a (paid) working mum 💕💕
