I don’t have a favourite retreat. But if I did, this one would be up there… 🤫

I think partly because it very nearly didn’t happen. With everything going on in the region it was very touch and go and I questioned more than once if we were making the right decision going ahead.

But my god, did we need it. And what became super obvious over the course of the few days…every single woman who made it was truly supposed to be there. I genuinely believe that.

A group of mostly strangers arrived at the beautiful Petunia, and by the end of the week they were leaving with a sense of connection and sisterhood you just can’t manufacture.

So thank you to for being the most perfect backdrop for all of it. And thank you to every single one of my Soul & Sparkle women..you weren’t just part of the magic. You were the magic. 🧡✨

Remembering the good old days while we’re still in them 🥹

After a few weeks that felt heavier than usual, this weekend was the best reminder that life keeps being beautiful.. even when the world feels uncertain.

Best weekend (albeit very busy!) through - some insane staycay deals to take advantage of while we have this glorious weather.

We love you, Dubai. There’s nowhere I’m happier to call home. 🤍

A little update from me… ❤️🤍🩷 (summarised below if you don’t want to watch the whole thing! And yes, I know I need to get myself a tripod 🙃🤣)

I wasn’t planning on bringing The Growth Collective back…When I closed it last year it felt like the right call. I wanted to go all in on in person spaces, retreats, real rooms with real women…and I still believe in that whole heartedly.

But with everything that’s been going on in the world - and especially for those of us living in this region - there’s just been this underlying feeling of carrying a lot.

Constant input, constant noise, a nervous system that never really gets to exhale.

And what I feel most than ever right is it’s not more content that’s needed right now. It’s somewhere to actually land.

So I’m relaunching The Growth Collective - but it looks really different this time.

It’s not a library you have to work through.

It’s built around how you actually feel, right now. You come in overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, a bit flat — and you’re guided into something simple and body-based to help you move through it.

Breathwork, meditation, RTT audios, gentle prompts. Things that actually do something, rather than just give you more to think about.

The monthly live circles with Liza are staying…they always were and wil continue to be the heart of it. Just beautiful spaces to slow down and not have to hold everything by yourself for a bit.

And for those of you in the UAE - there will be an option to join for in perosn gatherings are coming back too. A similar space to the book club - but more a space to connect, reflect, and integrate (with a loose theme each month for those who like a little structure!)

And if you’re really struggling right now.. if your nervous system is frazzled, if you’re just done with taking in more information…this is genuinely for you. Not more to consume. Just somewhere to land. I hope to see you in there soon xx

To my lovely UAE community… I’m not really sure what to say right now, and most likely I’ll be taking some time off here for the foreseeable, but before I do, there’s something I want to remind you all of…

This weekend shook us. There’s no other way to say it. What we experienced was frightening, and I just want to start by saying, it’s okay to be feeling whatever you are feeling right now. Knowing you are safe, and feeling safe are two different things, and it’s totally okay to need a little time for your body to catch up with that.

I think we’re all sitting in a strange kind of gratitude right now. Grateful that what felt (and was) so alarming was, ultimately, contained. Grateful for leadership that moved quickly. Grateful, honestly, just for each other.
I think for many of us the calm, the way this country quietly held us…reminded us all over again why we chose this place.

Dubai is incredibly resilient. It is quite extraordinary.

But so are you, my love.

We’ve watched this city come back from things that should have broken it. The lockdown. The floods. Each time, the dust settles and life returns… fuller, faster, more determined than before. That’s not luck. That’s the DNA of this place.

But it’s also the DNA of the people who chose to build their lives here.

If you’re here, you already know something about yourself. You were brave enough to leave something familiar. Bold enough to start again. Flexible enough to thrive somewhere that never stops evolving.

That part of you doesn’t disappear when things feel hard. That’s exactly the part that carries you through.

And as Winnie the Pooh so wonderfully said -please promise me you will always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

Hold steady, my loves. We’ve done hard things before. We’ll do this one too.

H xx🤍

Let’s talk about social media and values.

The internet can feel like a difficult place at times. Especially right now.. it feels like a total pressure cooker. People throwing shade left, right and centre. Opinions flying all over the shop and public outrage trending.

But here’s what we so often miss about social media…

Almost everything anyone does here (and IRL) is an expression of their values.

They are quite literally showing you who they are.

The person who shares their life, messy bits and all?
They likely value authenticity and truth.

The one whose home is always immaculate, outfits curated, grid cohesive?
They probably value order, quality and aesthetic.

The woman who only posts the beautiful motherhood moments and never the chaos?
She may deeply value beauty and romance.

The one who shares every raw detail?
She likely values honesty and emotional transparency.

The 5am, fifty step morning routine, gym every single day, rain or shine?
Most likely self discipline, health, growth.

The so called “conspiracy theorist”?
Probably a fierce value for truth, freedom and autonomy.

And here is why this matters…

The world is a wild place right now.. and one of the only things that’s going to help up through that is emotional resilience.
We HAVE to stop taking things so personally. (And I say that with a whole lot lot of love as a people pleaser in eternal recovery!)

Emotional resilience is not built by agreeing with everyone.
It’s built by knowing who you are.

When you understand that behaviour is usually values in motion, you create space.

You stop making it about you. You start seeing not just someone’s action, but their motivations behind those action.

Knowing your values anchors you.
Recognising other people’s values humanises them.

From that place, you choose.
Who to follow.
What to engage with.
What to ignore.
What to stand for.

The power and agency is always yours my love. In real life. And on the internet.

So make your own kind of music my love xx

I’ve been thinking a lot about ageing recently.

About what I know to be true…And what I sometimes feel instead. About beauty, visibility, choice & the messy middle we’re rarely given permission to sit in as women.

So I wrote a substack about it. About holding two truths at once. About ageing as a privilege, and the very human desire to still feel seen.

Link in bio to read it or comment SUBSTACK and I’ll send it to you xx
