🥈 🇳🇱 Horse Pair World Championships 🇳🇱🥈

What a week! Having started the championships with the goal of a top 10 finish, we never imagined leaving with silver medals for both the individual and team competitions!

With top 15 finishes in the dressage and marathon and 3rd place in the cones it was satisfying to be a part of every prize giving throughout the show 🤩

The horses were fantastic and really gave their all in what has been a dream finish to the year. Time for them to enjoy a well earned holiday 😄

A huge thanks to everyone that has supported and sent well wishes. This really is a team sport and every member of Team Campbell and the British squad helped to make this such an enjoyable week.

A big shout out to Phoebe Matthews for all of her work in the stables and the thousands of steps she did walking the horses throughout the week and plaiting the horses so beautifully!

Many thanks to Paardenspektakel WK Beekbergen 2025 and Riant equestrian centre for putting on such a wonderful show and providing such generous prizes 🏆

Roger has won Individual Silver and Great Britian has won Team Silver at the World Championships for Horse Pairs 👏🏼 🇬🇧

🇳🇱 Horse Pair World Championships 🇳🇱

We were really pleased to contribute to the British team result with a 49.30 and 12th place in a class of 85! 🤩

We start the marathon today at 14:12 (🇬🇧 13:12)

August is here — and that means it is Championship Month! 🇬🇧

The GBR Horse Pairs squad is getting ready, and we can announce that Roger Campbell, Tara Wilkinson & Peter Bennett have been selected to compete as this year’s team drivers — their scores will count toward the team competition as well as individually. Nicola Pimbblet, John Ripley, Chris Smith & Graham Heath will also be representing GBR as individuals. Let’s go!

🥈 🇫🇷 CAI3* Le Pin au Haras 🇫🇷 🥈

The last time Roger competed here was in the Pony Pair class at the 2021 Pony World Championships where he won individual silver. It seems second place might be a tradition!

Dressage 🥈
We achieved the goal of a sub 50 dressage with a 48.99 and some nice comments from the judges.

Marathon 🥈
Fastest marathon of the horse pairs with four fastest times but a ball in Obstacle 4 meant that we had to settle for second place.

Cones 🥈
A well timed double clear on a tricky course with just 0.47 seconds to spare!

Overall 🥈
We had a great week at this fantastic venue with the horses really showing improvement from our last competition. Our next competition will be the World Championships in Beekbergen 🇳🇱 in August, so time to do some more training!

🇨🇿 CAI3* Kladruby nad Labem 🇨🇿

We are now recovered from a great weekend at this wonderful venue. If you have the chance to visit, we highly recommend it.

A 4th place finish at our first competition of the season was a great way to start the year and less than 1 penalty to Tara in 2nd place. Our youngest horse, Magic (grey), has stepped up to do all phases, taking it all in his stride and we were especially pleased with 3rd place on the Marathon.

Now to do some more training before our next competition at CAI3* Lahden 🇩🇪 at the end of May.

Very sad news - Sydney was such a terrific supporter of British Carriagedriving and the BYD British Young Drivers in particular. She will be missed by many equestrians and friends throughout the horse world.
