DRS: Door Racing System ✅

Without a doubt, one of the most unusual moments of the Paul Ricard race came when the AF Motorsport Jose Barros’ Porsche door suddenly flew open in the middle of a fierce battle against LMR and Tsunami cars 😂

However, the Portuguese driver probably didn’t mind too much, as the improvised ventilation system came in handy with cockpit temperatures soaring over 50°C 🥵🌡️

2027 GT Cup Europe provisional calendar announced‼️📅🏁

GT Sport today announced the 2027 Provisional Calendar for its three series: the International GT Open, the GT Cup Europe and the Euroformula Open.

The structure of the calendar remains unchanged, with 8 events for the GT Open and the Euroformula and 6 for GT Cup.

The 2027 Provisional Calendar of the GT Cup Europe is as follows:

Ebimotors fields top pair Galli – Rodríguez at Ricard‼️🔥🔥🛡️

There will be an additional Porsche 992 Cup from Italy entered at the Paul Ricard round this weekend. It will be fielded by stalwart team Ebimotors, which this year is also a technical partner of FAEMS Team.

Andrea Galli is the man behind this entry and at the wheel of the car. The 50-years-old Italian has a long experience in GT racing, and is currently racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italy. He already tasted the GT Cup Europe last year at Monza.

For the Ricard one-off appearance, he will be associated with no less than the reigning GT Cup Europe co-champion, Guatemala’s Ian Rodríguez, who will make a welcome return to the series where he was crowned in 2025.

Seblajoux Racing to debut in GT Cup Europe at Paul Ricard‼️🛡️🟣

The Round 4 of the GT Cup Europe will feature an exciting new addition to the Paul Ricard grid, as SebLajoux Racing joins the championship with a competitive driver line-up aboard its Porsche 992 GT3 Cup.

The French team, led by Sébastien Lajoux, has built a strong reputation in recent years in endurance racing with Porsche Cup machinery and is now expanding into sprint competition across Europe. Sharing the team’s distinctive purple-liveried Porsche 992 GT3 Cup will be experienced Stéphane Perrin, whose successful career includes numerous achievements in TCR touring cars before making the move to GT racing, alongside young Enzo Joulié, who progressed from Formula 4 before establishing himself in GT4/Cup machinery.
