AF Corse to debut in the GT Cup at Barcelona with two cars‼️🛡️🛡️💥

The final round at Barcelona will see the debut in the GT Cup Europe of AF Corse, the Italian top team which is a stronghold contender in the GT Open for many years.

AF Corse squad will enter two Ferrari 296 Challenge cars with a view to preparing for the forthcoming Ferrari Challenge World Finals, which will take place on the Catalan track, but also to taste the series ahead of a possible involvement next year.

Car #102 will be in the hands of US young guy Johnny Kaminskey (18), who joins fresh from conquering the title in the Ferrari Challenge North America Trofeo Pirelli. This will be his debut in Europe.

Car #175 (pictured) will be entrusted to Germany’s Sven Schöme, who is a 2025 Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell AM Europe champion. He will be partnered with Italian GT racer and coach Andrea Gagliardini.

2027 GT CUP EUROPE REVISED CALENDAR 📅🏁

GT Sport announces one slight change in its 2027 racing calendar — Misano replaces Hockenheim and moves one week earlier.

GT Sport today announced a slight change in the 2027 Provisional Calendar for its three series: the event serving as Round 4 of the International GT Open and Euroformula Open, and as Round 3 of the GT Cup Europe, initially foreseen on 11-13 June 2027 at the Hockenheimring moves date and location.

It will be held one week earlier, on 4-6 June at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The change has been decided to avoid a clash with the Le Mans 24 Hours. The Italian track hosted a GT Sport-promoted event this year for the first time, with great satisfaction of contenders and fans.
