SYPHONIA 2024
Come and meet us at the 16th Eurospelo Forum from October 31st to November 2nd in Rome.
The title of Syphonia 2024 was deliberately chosen to recall “siphons”, characteristic features often found along karstic conduits in which water flows, as in the case of the underground section of the Bussento river, located between the municipalities of Caselle in Pittari and Morigerati.
The meeting will focus on the driving themes of “ Water, Caves, Future ”.
Cascade
organization of workshops, conferences and discussion sessions to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between caving experts and researchers on topics related to water protection ( microplastics, pollution and other emergencies );intelligent and correct use of this resource.
Caves
sustainable exploration and conservation actions: promotion of sustainable approaches to cave exploration, addressing crucial issues such as the impact of caving activities and environmental protection strategies; cave research: exploration of siphons and beyond, presentation of new discoveries, international expeditions.

Implementation of educational programs for environmental protection and promotion of digital caving.
