Happy International Yoga Day, and Summer Solstice, everyone!

I know, I know...it's a bit late in the day but we are having an official heatwave here in France, and so my river swim had to wait until it was just 32C, after 9.30pm!

But, what a time to be in the water... reflecting! 🧘🏼‍♀️

Just start from where you are!

My current teaching schedule (all lessons €12 and are held in a beautiful barn conversion studio in Palluaud 16390):

MONDAYS:

* 'Chilled Chair Yoga' for when moving on the floor is just too uncomfortable 2.15-3.30pm

* 'Gentle-men's Yoga', a class dedicated to men from 4 - 5.15pm

WEDNESDAYS:

* 'Midweek Motivation', challenging in parts, for those who are feeling strong and well, from 5.30 - 6.45pm

Here's a first!

I'd just like to mark this on my timeline as the day that I was invited to teach yoga to an entirely French family group who are enjoying a BIG celebration weekend at a well-known local 'Manoir'. And I said 'yes'. No pressure then.

Why is it big news?

Well, because when I arrived in France I literally had just two words of French, never having learnt it at school. And the language seemed so utterly alien to me! Really.

Was today's lesson potted with 'Franglaise'?
You bet it was!

Are there several other competent yoga teachers in the area who could have delivered a fluently French lesson? Of course there are!

But it was me ☺️...

With the added complexity of it being a group of strangers of widely varying abilities (you know...Miss Yoga centre front, and some poor bloke at the back who had no idea why he was there!), I'm delighted to say....it went very well. Phew!

One day, I will be that fantastically fluent bilingual English / French yoga teacher!!

Until then, I'll just keep plugging away at my weekly French lessons, and trusting the process.

We kicked off yesterday!
No, not football...'Gentle-men's Yoga'.

I've had great feedback from the guys today, and am looking forward to next week's lesson already 😀

It's here! By request, a men's-only yoga class.

The first 6-week 'Beginners Series' starts on Monday 2nd March at 4pm in Palluaud, 16390.

It takes courage. Some brave men, who never imagined they would do yoga, have signed up already.

Decorating is easy, they said!

Today's 'Jackson Po***ck' artwork...it seems I favour my left foot for securing the paint tray while re-loading the roller... but decorating progress has been made! After a week of preparation, moving day is actually tomorrow. So excited!

Oh, and by the way all yoga lessons resume from Monday 12th, if you don't mind the smell of paint, ha-ha!
