🇧🇪💪 The road to the Invictus Games 2027 continues!

This week, the Invictus Games Team Belgium selected for the Invictus Games 2027 is training together in Fontainebleau.

The programme is packed with intensive training sessions: 🚣 Rowing
🏊 Swimming
🏐 Sitting Volleyball
🥒 Pickleball
🏃 Athletics
🎯 Laser Run

Beyond the training, this camp is a fantastic opportunity to exchange experiences with the Invictus Games Team France. Sharing knowledge, training together, and learning from one another make us all stronger.

Every session is about hard work, pushing personal limits, and embracing the Invictus spirit. The atmosphere is outstanding, with teamwork, mutual support, and plenty of smiles along the way.

🇧🇪💪 Day 2 at the Invictus Sports Festival 2026

Another fantastic day for the Invictus Games Team Belgium!

The day started with the spinning competition 🚴, where our athletes gave everything they had, demonstrating determination, resilience, and true Invictus spirit.

The highlight of the day came on the sitting volleyball court 🏐, where our mixed Belgium–Georgia team faced one final challenge: the match for 5th place. After building strong chemistry throughout the tournament, the team delivered an excellent performance and secured the victory! 🙌

Beyond the result, this competition created a special bond between athletes from Belgium and Georgia. Match after match, their understanding, teamwork, and level of play continued to grow, proving once again that the Invictus spirit knows no borders.

Congratulations to all the competitors for an unforgettable weekend of sport, friendship, and perseverance. 👏🇧🇪🇬🇪

🇧🇪💪 A great day for the Invictus Games Team Belgium at the Invictus Sports Festival 2026!

Our athletes delivered some fantastic performances, highlighted by two bronze medals in the rowing competition 🥉🥉 — a well-deserved reward for their hard work and determination.

On the sitting volleyball court 🏐, the team also put in a strong performance. Reinforced by three players from Georgia, the team chemistry grew throughout the day, and together they secured a place in the 5th-place final, which will take place tomorrow.

The competition continues tomorrow morning with the spinning event 🚴, where four of our competitors will be giving it their all.

Congratulations to all our athletes for their commitment, teamwork, and Invictus spirit. We are proud of you! 👏🇧🇪

🇧🇪💪 This weekend, a delegation of 10 competitors from the Invictus Games Team Belgium is taking part in the Invictus Sports Festival 2026 in Düsseldorf, the city that proudly hosted the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023.

Over the course of two days, our athletes will give it their all in the featured sports: 🏐 Sitting Volleyball, 🚣 Rowing, and 🚴 Spinning. More importantly, they will experience the true Invictus spirit—resilience, determination, camaraderie, and recovery through sport.

For some, this is a return to a place filled with unforgettable memories. For others, it is a first visit to Düsseldorf and their very first encounter with the Invictus spirit. Whatever their journey, they are ready to represent Belgium with pride and embrace every moment of this unique experience.

The Invictus Games Foundation is continuing to create new opportunities for recovery, resilience, and connection through sport.

Our latest Beyond the Games activities will support wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans through adaptive pickleball in Ukraine, multi-sport training camps in Nigeria, and a multi-nation sports camp in Belgium.

Together, these programmes are helping communities grow, build lasting connections, and create sustainable pathways for recovery beyond the Games.

🇧🇪 Mission accomplie aux 20 km de Bruxelles ! 🏃‍♂️💪

Quelle journée exceptionnelle pour Invictus Team Belgium !

Aux côtés des élèves de la Koninklijke Militaire School / École Royale Militaire, nos militaires blessés ont franchi les 20 km de Bruxelles dans un formidable élan de solidarité, de respect et de camaraderie.

Chaque kilomètre parcouru a témoigné de la force du collectif. Une démonstration concrète que la Défense reste présente pour ses hommes et ses femmes, quelles que soient les épreuves rencontrées.

Merci aux élèves pour leur engagement remarquable, aux organisateurs pour cette magnifique édition, ainsi qu'aux nombreux supporters venus nous encourager tout au long du parcours. Votre énergie nous a portés jusqu'à la ligne d'arrivée.

Aujourd'hui encore, nous avons prouvé que la résilience, l'entraide et l'esprit d'équipe permettent de relever tous les défis.

Ensemble, nous sommes plus forts.

Wat een prachtige dag voor Invictus Team Belgium!

Samen met de leerlingen van de Koninklijke Militaire School legden onze gewonde militairen de 20 km van Brussel af, gedragen door een sterke geest van solidariteit, respect en kameraadschap.

Elke afgelegde kilometer stond symbool voor de kracht van verbondenheid. Een tastbaar bewijs dat Defensie achter haar mensen blijft staan, ongeacht de uitdagingen die zij tegenkomen.

Dank aan de leerlingen voor hun uitzonderlijke inzet, aan de organisatie voor dit mooie evenement en aan alle supporters die ons langs het parcours hebben aangemoedigd. Jullie enthousiasme gaf ons extra kracht tot aan de finish.

Ook vandaag hebben we opnieuw getoond dat veerkracht, teamwork en wederzijdse steun grenzen doen vervagen.

Met een delegatie van Invictus Team Belgium nemen we deel aan de 20 km van Brussel.

Tijdens deze bijzondere deelname worden onze gewonde militairen voortgetrokken door leerlingen van de Koninklijke Militaire School. Een krachtig symbool van verbondenheid, solidariteit en respect.

Het toont dat Defensie achter haar mensen staat. Niet alleen in dienst, maar ook wanneer het leven extra uitdagingen met zich meebrengt. We vormen één blok, één team, één familie.

Une délégation de Invictus Team Belgium participera aux 20 km de Bruxelles.

À cette occasion, nos militaires blessés seront tractés par des élèves de l'École Royale Militaire. Un geste fort qui symbolise la solidarité, le respect et l'esprit de fraternité qui nous unissent.

C'est une manière de montrer que la Défense est présente aux côtés de ses militaires, dans les bons comme dans les moments plus difficiles. Nous avançons ensemble, comme un seul bloc, une seule équipe, une seule famille.

Ensemble, nous repoussons les limites. Ensemble, nous démontrons la force de la résilience, de la camaraderie et du dépassement de soi.

Development of Parasport within Belgian Defence

On 27 April, Invictus Team Belgium organised a cycling competition (time trial and road race) in Gistel, West Flanders, for wounded and ill military personnel.
This international event brought together teams from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Estonia, highlighting the core values of cohesion, inclusion and pushing beyond one’s limits that define Parasport.
Our sincere thanks go to the Isomundo association and all its volunteers, as well as to the members of Invictus Team Belgium present, whose commitment was key to the success of this initiative.
