Just to let every one know,,,, I am 81years old and later this year ( I posted this 18months ago and I am still here doing bits and pieces) I will hopefully be selling my lovely bowls club and retiring,,,,, it's 2 acres with detached 4bed farm house, under build under the entire house, large loft area, double open garage, double closed garage ( could be two 2 bed gites plus two in the main house if wanted), large detached barn already converted into two 2 bed gites, club house 24m x 6m (could be two gites) plus 1100sqm carpet green and fabulous views,,, all for just around a quarter of the price in England. Occasionally, I am reminded of what a great sport we enjoy.

I recently took my mum, who has just turned 90, to her local short mat club.

All the members there that day are retired, and I thought to myself what a great sport bowls is. Friends meet up and enjoy the company of each other and for many that has stretched over many decades.
