VOYAGE PARAPENTE AU JAPON
En Avril 2026, je me suis rendu au Japon, accueilli et guidé par 2 pilotes et instructeurs charismatiques : Kaoru Ogisawa (Ogi’) et Okada Naohisa.
Nous avons volé à quelques heures de Tokyo, d’abord près de l’emblématique Mont Fuji dans de bonnes conditions printanières, puis sur la péninsule d’Izu qui offre du beau vol panoramique et thermique au plus près du Pacifique. La région de Tsukuba m’a fait découvrir un Japon plus rural et authentique, où la plaine offre un cortège de conditions propices à la distance.
Je retiens de ce voyage la saveur des thermiques du matin, le savoir-vivre des japonais et leur cuisine extraordinaire ; un vrai dépaysement.

In April 2026, I traveled to Japan, where I was welcomed and guided by two charismatic pilots and instructors: Kaoru Ogisawa (“Ogi”) and Okada Naohisa.
We flew a few hours from Tokyo—first near the iconic Mount Fuji in good spring conditions, then on the Izu Peninsula, which offers beautiful panoramic and thermal flying close to the Pacific Ocean. The Tsukuba region introduced me to a more rural and authentic Japan, where the plains provide a wide range of conditions well suited to distance flying.
What I take away from this trip is the feel of the morning thermals, the Japanese way of life, and their extraordinary cuisine—a true change of scenery.
